"Yes girl, shit just been so stressful lately dealing with him and his bull but, I just needed some time to myself." Vanessa spoke over the phone to her cousin

"Yeah well right now I'm at the house in Beverly Hills I'll be back to visit y'all in a couple days." She said adjusting her vintage Chanel sunglasses

"You know mama and auntie miss you and said when you get back you gonna get the butt whopping of the century for not seeing them in so long" Her cousin said over the phone

"I already knew that was coming" Vanessa chuckled

"But imma speak to you later dee"

"Alright bet"

the line disconnected

Vanessa grabbed her nearest glass of wine and took a sip while scrolling through her Instagram feed. The sun glared on her glossy brown skin as the wind blew through her hair. Who would fumble a bag like her? Oh yea... her husband.

The love story was definitely one that could appear in a drama or a book somewhere. They met at their old school and began talking the old fashion way, note passing. A simple Question was written on the paper and passed down to Vanessa who was not expecting it.

She knew he had a slight crush on her due to all the staring that she would catch him doing to her. He was shy and reserved... as opposed to Vanessa who was fun and carefree. Well in this instance... opposites most definitely attracted and A simple yes was written and passed back to Andrew.

This was probably one of his first big risks so of course he was very nervous but he knew he needed her in the long run. He smiled as he looked up at Vanessa from his desk as she smiled back at him as well. From then on... they would see each other everyday and her parents loved him of course since he was a "good guy"

Her parents always figured he was a good influence on their daughter since he was so opposite from her and instantly wanted for Vanessa and him to be together in the future for a very long time and well... they got their wish when Vanessa said yes to his proposal.

Things have changed though...a lot. It was hard for Vanessa to even be in Andrews presence after a while of marriage due to Andrews controlling ways. He assumed since he was the "bread winner" of the two, he could control everything about Vanessa. The way she ate, the places she went, the people she hung around, the amount of times she could see her family a month was all controlled by him which obviously caused a big rift in their relationship.

"Miss McCoy, Mr. McCoy wants to speak with you in his office" The secretary spoke causing her to sigh

"Ask him what it's about for me Angela" she said not even looking back at her

"He said he just needs you to come down to talk about some important business between you two." She said starring at her

Vanessa reluctantly got up as she placed her towel around her body making her way inside the Hug mansion and up into his quarters. He sat there, starring at Vanessa, with a blank stare.
