She danced, she drunk from the bottle, ignoring the consequences like there was not tomorrow and at that moment, Vanessa didn't really care. Only thing she really cared about at that moment was getting another bottle in her system and slowly but surely, she knew she fucked up when the vodka started tasting like water. She paused for a moment

"Vanessa here I brought us more, unless you tapping out" Alexandria slurred her words a little

"If you don't drink it your pussy" Aliyah said causing Alexandria to look over at her

"She don't have to drink it if she don't want to Aliyah." Alexandria told her

"Nahh I'm good gimme dat" Vanessa said as she took in the shot like it was nothing

She could barely taste it anyways so she didn't really care. Vanessa climbed on top of the table and began feeling the music coursing through her body as she closed her eyes. She felt like she was the main character in a movie.

"Vanessa bitch please do not fall" Alexandria warned as she smiled up at her friend

"Bitch my balancing skills are immaculate" she said slurring over her words

Alexandria knew Vanessa since she was younger and knew whenever things were a little off with her. She also knew that she was in an unhappy marriage and would always try to talk to her about it. Alexandria's words always flew over Vanessa's head. She knew that she needed this night out with how down she's been lately.

During their high school days when they would go to parties, Vanessa used to be the life of them but in recent years she's kind of settled down. Tonight Alexandria knew she brought back her best friends old ways and was so happy. She smiled up at her with loving eyes and was proud of her best friend for finally enjoying herself for once.

"Wait y'all-" Aliyah paused

"What" Alexandria questioned

"Isn't that" she was cut off

"Vanessa... look" Alexandria tapped Vanessa causing her to look in the direction they were pointing

Her gaze fell upon him as their eyes met. He walked towards her with a smile upon his face. She still couldn't believe her eyes and thought she was just tripping or it was just her seeing someone who looked like him. He reached their table along with his friends and she almost feel as Vanessa got off the table.

"How did you know where I was" Vanessa asked

"I invited him" Aliyah happily came over and said

Vanessa stared at the face of a man who'd she had known for a long time but hadn't seen in a while. Terrance and Vanessa had a long history together. They've known each other since high school and have kept in contact up until Vanessa and Andrew got married. They were still following each other on social media so they would comment on each other's post or react to a story... small things.

"Vanessa it's been a while" Terrence stated as he look at her

"It has" she said
