After reading the poem, Third person POV
It was around 1:30pm, and Diluc was on his way to buy some flowers for Jean when he suddenly stopped and thought, "What flowers do Jean like?"
This was an extreme problem, for he had to confess in 3 days and he had not figured out what kind of flowers she would be fond of
"All these years and I don't know her favorite flowers; Why don't I know?
Who should I ask? Urrgghh..."
He was thinking who knew Jean most, and he hated that he had immediately thought of his former brother, Kaeya.
"Surely there's someone who knows her better than him right?" Diluc thought, disgusted at the thought of talking to Kaeya
Then he remembered, he had always saw Lisa, the librarian, with Jean whenever she was away from work
"It's not Kaeya, Atleast" Diluc thought, releived
Timeskip, at the library
"Oh to what do I owe the pleasure Master Diluc?" Lisa said, confused because it was a rare sight to see Diluc at the library, at the Knights of Favonius headquarters no less
"I want to ask some questions." Diluc said, annoyed about where he was
"And what are these questions?" Lisa said, skeptical
"I want to know some things about the Knights." Diluc said, with a straight face
"Oh, Ok then, I guess it won't hurt to share some stuff..." Lisa said
"Thank you personally, Lisa" Diluc said, smiling a little
"However it will come with a cost." Lisa said, smirking
"Okay then, name it" Dliuc said with his face back to normal
"I want to know what you are up to. I know you're not very fond of idle chit-chat, and the gloomy Master Diluc of all people wouldn't be asking about the Knights of Favonius, no less" Lisa said with an unreadable expression
"I-I..."
"Dammit! I need to come up with a lie quickly!" Diluc thought, with a worried expression
"I-I can't, I'm sorry." Diluc said, back to his gloomy facade
"Then I'm not sharing" Lisa said
*sigh* "Then I'll see myself out" Diluc said, frowning
Timeskip, Outside Mondstadt
"Maybe I can ask that outrider?" Diluc thought
Then out of luck, he had somehow ran into Amber, the outrider of the Knights of Favonius.
"Oh hey Master Diluc! I was just clearing a hilichurl camp out when you popped out of nowhere!" Amber said, cheerful
"Hello to you too, outrider, if you do not mind, can I ask you a question?
"Oh sure but why don't you ask Lisa or something?" Amber said
"I tried to, but she wouldn't answer" Said Diluc
"Oh ok then... Ask away then!" Said Amber, slightly skeptical
"I want to know what kind of flowers Jean likes." Said Diluc with a straight face
"Oh, Well I wasn't expecting that, but I think she likes Cecilias..." Said Amber, thinking
"Good. I'll see myself out then." Diluc said
"Wait! Shouted Amber
"Yes?" asked Diluc
Why didn't Lisa answer you? I'm pretty sure she hsa a thing for Jea-" Amber stopped, realizing what she had said
"She likes Jean?" Said Diluc, surprised because he found the thought of someone else fawning over Jean quite weird
"Lisa's gonna kill you now Amber! You idiot Amber!" Amber thought to herself
"She gets to spend all that time with her and she has a thing for her..." Diluc thought to himself, very jealous
"Well I have to hide from Lisa now! Bye Master Diluc!!" Said Amber, while she ran away
"I'll buy the flowers now I guess..."
