A couple of hours later a tired group of friends sat around the kitchen inhaling pizza and beers.
"Man Mido, I never knew a university kid could own so much stuff!" Kirishima laughed, slapping the top of the boxes stacked in the kitchen.
Izuku shrugged, "Well, I have lived on my own mainly and after my mom died, a lot of her stuff was given to me."
He ran his hand over a small sideboard, one of the few pieces of furniture in the room. Memories of his mom wiping the table, handed down to her by her own mom brought tears to emerald eyes. A warm hand rested softly on his leg. He looked down at the manicured hand, he smiled at Tenya who had leaned over an understanding look on his face.
"I know you miss her Midoriya"
"Thanks Tenya"
Mina exchanged glances with Kiri, Denki and Sero, all glad that their hot-tempered boss had to leave to get ready for the evening shift. Mina then glared with a "wtf?" motion at Sero, who in turn gave her the "I'm clueless" shrug back.
Izuku stood and stretched. "You guys have been great, really, thank you. I can start unpacking this stuff a little tonight before Kacchan gets off and we go over to his place."
Beer flew from Sero's nose and mouth as he raced to the sink spewing liquid, Mina choked on her pizza, Denki and Kirishima looked stunned.
"His place!?" They all sputtered in unison.
Tenya looked at Izuku quizzically. "I did not realize you needed a place to stay tonight Izuku. You are welcome to sleep on my couch tonight."
"Wait, Zuk, Katsuki asked you to stay at his place?" Mina squeaked out.
Izuku frowned "Well yeah, after we realized the mix up with the furniture he told me I could crash there. That way we could get an early start tomorrow shopping for what I need." He turned smiling at his friend. "Thanks though Tenya."
Sero trying to drink some water, choked again, more liquid sloshing into the sink. Mina gasped for breath as she swallowed her pizza.
"Shopping?!" Again in unison.
Izuku glared at them, "You guys make it seem so incredible that Kacchan is letting me stay at his place and take me shopping for the furniture," he eyed Sero and Kiri, "that I thought would be here."
He clenched his hands at his sides. His friends were getting really annoying.
"It's just that, uh...well" again four voices tried to get words out at once.
Mirdoriya put up his hand stopping them. "Look it's late and it's been a long day. You guys are awesome, thank you again but I think I should just unpack now alone for a while." he sighed deeply.
"No, it's okay we can keep helping." Mina protested, suddenly feeling badly but she wasn't sure why, "I can unpack your kitchen."
Tenya jumped up off the floor and clapped his hands, taking charge.
"You heard him, he is tired and we need to leave him." He began grabbing trash and cans. "I will drop these for you at the dumpster." The others reluctantly grabbed their stuff looking at a wilted Izuku.
"Sorry about the mix up on the furniture, man," Kirishima patted Izuku's shoulder, " I may have a few things you can have to help out."
"Thanks Kiri"
He hugged everyone and the group headed down the stairs, Tenya stopped on the top step and looked at Mido.
"Once you are settled in, I'd like us to go out together" he stared at Izuku, the dim light of the balcony barely picking up the green in his hair.
Mido smiled tiredly, barely registering what he was saying , "Sounds good Tenya." Tenya's face lit up at those words and he hopped down the stairs disappearing into the gloom of the alleyway.
The other four had stopped in the alley at the sidewalk, the motion light popped on illuminating four heads circled together.
"Are Tenya and Midobro dating?" Kiri said out loud what they were all thinking.
"I don't think so" Sero looked back over his shoulder. Tenya, a shadowy figure at the top of the stairs.
"And Katman, letting Midobro stay at his place tonight." Kiri shook his head.
"He told me that if I even looked at his place he would kill me." Denki laughed.
"Me too" again voices in unison.
Mina giggled, "and shopping. Can you see Kat shopping tomorrow?"
The giggling infected them all as they imagined their blonde boss storming through the stores. Denki stomped his feet. "Buy that now, get out of my way fucking extra" doing his best Katsuki impression. The four laughed helplessly, falling on each other.
Mina stopped short, "It could be trouble though, I mean if Zuk really likes Tenya." She played with her hair thoughtfully.
The laughter died away.
"Kat has never really liked anyone that I know of" Mina went on, "I mean he is a hopeless flirt but you saw how he was tonight and now the shopping and sleeping over. For him to go out of his way. And wow so fast, I mean they just met."
"Mido is a special man" Sero smiled. "He has always had that effect on people."
"Maybe they have some kind of cosmic connection." Denki whispered.
"Whoa Denkman, that is really deep." Kiri put his arm around his shoulders.
Tenya suddenly appeared behind them, a wide grin on his face, he whistled a soft tune.
"That was the most fun tonight everyone. I look forward to having Midoriya back so close again." He waved as he passed them and turned left back to the station.
Four sets of worried eyes exchanged glances again.
"Trouble is hardly the word." Mina sighed
