"I'm headed to school mom!" I yell up the stairs. I grab my purple backpack from by the stairs and I slip on my shoes at the door. "Goodbye honey! Have a nice day at school! I hope you ace that test today!" My mom says bounding down the stairs. Her hair is half combed and her shirt is on backwards. I giggle at the sight. "What is there something in my teeth?" She asks bringing her hand up to her mouth. "No mom, you just need to fix your shirt and hair and you will be fine." I say still giggling. She hugs me then pats the top of my head. "Well okay then, good luck at school. Just remember that this test places you for next year. So try your best." She says smiling. "Alright mom, I will." I turn and rest my hand on the doorknob of the heavy wooden door. This test places where I'll be taking classes next year. I have to make mom and dad pround. And I will! I think to myself. I turn and wave good-bye to mom, then open the door and head off to school.
