"Uhh..." Pain... That was all I felt when I gained consciousness. I tried to open my eyes and see where I was, but my whole body was screaming in pain and I could barely open my eyes.
After my vision started to clear, I saw that I was on the ground, surrounded by tall pine trees and small shrubs that grow in the deep forest.
I was supposed to be in my combat class by now. But I could barely remember what I was doing before I fell unconscious.
I remember arguing with Penny about going to the new mall to buy new gear for winter. Saying goodbye to her and making my way up the hill road to reach the arena where the combat class was held.
But I can't remember anything after that. I tried to move my body around since I was facing the ground and succeeded in turning around. But then, I heard a low growl that made the hair on the back of my neck stand-up.

I look around and see a pitch black wolf approaching from behind the shrubs. His amber eyes glaring at me, making a shiver go down my spine.
He started to come toward me, where I was lying on the ground, eye me like I'm his prey and he was starved for ages. I started to backup, my legs screaming in pain and as I look down, I see that my jeans were ripped and my legs are scratched so deeply that I can see the tissues of my skin.
As he started to get closer, I reached for the dagger 🗡 , I keep in my thigh holster and pulled it out. Seeing that I was armed the wolf started to growl viciously, barring his teeth at me.
I pushed myself back further and my back hit a tree behind me, making me wince in pain and my back started to burn with pain. But I kept my eyes trained on the wolf's eyes to avoid any suprise attacks.
Then suddenly the wolf started to run in my direction, ready to attack me and I flung my dagger using all the strength I have. It grazes his left eye making the wolf to stop abruptly while howling in pain.
I was badly injured and my strength was not enough to do enough damage to the wolf for him to leave me alone. He started to snarl at me and came charging towards me. After that everything was a blur.
Another grey wolf hit the side of the black wolf, taking both to the ground. I stared in shocked silence as the two wolves started circling and snarling viciously at each other.The grey wolf was oozing dominance and authority while growling at the black wolf.
After some time the black wolf started to whimper and I watched in confusion as the the black wolf retreated to the woods, tail tucked between his legs.
Then the grey wolf slowly approached me and stared into my sapphire blue eyes with his emerald green ones.
"MINE" Someone growled inside my head and the darkness swallowed me.
