Love grows faster than you think

I giggle as John shows me his best Buddy Holly impression as he wore his glasses. "Ey! Okay, Lennon. Your not bad at makin' people laugh!" I wink at him as he shrugged with a big smile around his face "Always a big laugh with Lennon."

He took off his glasses and layed down on his bed beside me, closing his eyes softly with a little smile still staying on his face, i sit there just admiring his beautiful face, all the little spots on his face, his beautiful nose, his thin lips, his eyelashes, i slowly start admiring more and more of the lad and start to feel sort of.. flustered in a way. Every second of pure Lennon my heart would always skip a beat, it was weird, cause this feeling is so different. I try and brush the thought away of liking someone so quickly, someone like John.

I slowly take his glasses from his hand and put them on the bridge of his nose, as he slowly opened his eyes he stared into my eyes, the singular lamp that beamed in his room, reflected the beauty of Lennon. I stare back at him, swallowing the nerves that were trying to build up, my face started to burn up and turn a light shade of pink. Every second of this little staring contest we did, the faster my heart beated, i eventually broke the staring and looked away "Ye broke!" He softly said and snickered at me, i chuckle nervously and kept on looking away from him.

I kept on repeating in my head, eventually laying down beside him slowly placing my back on his bed. "What's on ye mind hm?" John said out of nowhere, turning on his side to look at me more clearer. I licked my lips nervously and shrugged as i looked up at the ceiling "Is it me?" I immediately turned my attention to him and laughed awkwardly, he slowly smirked at me"Weeell?~" he said soothingly, i bit on my lip and looked up at him as i fluttered my eyes "Just lot's of stuff, scattered throughout me head." I muttered out softly and stood up "It's gettin' a bit late-" as soon as i said that, i felt his body shoot up from his bed and stand close behind me "Already?" Lennon gently said, sending shivers through my whole body.

We stayed in silence, my heart almost jumping out my chest as my breath starts to get heavier. I looked down at my feet and swallowed thickly "B-but me dad-" i started, but got cut off by John's groan "Can't ye just call 'em, tha yer sleepin' here?" He questioned me as he frowned. I sigh nervously and nod quickly "Alright I'll- I'll see what i can do.." he smiled at my answer and ruffled up the top of my head.

As i walked to his phone whilst fixing my hair out, a slight panic started coming my way. Sweat started forming on my forehead as i dialed the dreading number, slowly placing the phone to my ear. I sat there with sweat dripping down my face, i start wiping it away as i heard the ringing. 𝒊𝒕 𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒈. 𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒈. 𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒈. 𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒈. Took my dad a while to answer but thankfully, he did.

"Dad! It's y/n.." i coughed out as i spoke, twirling my finger around the phone cord "Y/n? What happened?" He said sounding a bit concerned as to why I'm calling him "Could i please stay the night at the gal's? I don't think I'll be able to come back all alone at night!" I chuckled anxiously, thinking of the best lies i could slip out my lips. "Hm." Is all my dad said, followed by silence "Your right, dear. Alright then! Stay the night, hope ye behave." He said calmly, i grinned and nodded a little "Thank ye dad! Goodnight from me!" I quickly hang up the phone and dashed back into Lennon's room.

As i beamed with joy i immediately crashed into John's bed "I'm a great liar!" I exclaimed as i giggled to myself. John shot a smile at me and nudged my shoulder "All thanks to me, angel face." I smiled stupidly at the name he calls me, 𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒍 𝒇𝒂𝒄𝒆... God. I'm goin' mad. "Is that my official name?" I turned my head slowly towards him with my smile still splattered on my face. "Why not? Suits ye." He said and flicked my nose with his finger, i rubbed my nose soon afterwards "Sod off." I added and giggled softly. "So, what do ye think of Liverpool ey?" He asked, sitting up and looking at me "Creepy ol' houses, weird blokes-" i started but was interrupted by a push on the shoulder, i laughed "No it's- it's a very beautiful place. With amazin' people! Especially this one person that deserves the whole world." I smile and that (for some reason) gave me an idea!

"Who's th-"

"Ey. Can we go for a walk?" I interrupt his question and stood up, ready to go already. "Hm, sure? There's this little field we could go to." He said, while running his fingers through his mop of hair. I smiled and quickly nodded my head as i rush down to the hanger downstairs. His aunt was comfortably sitting on her seat, reading her book, but her eyes immediately focused on me "Where are ye headed to, dear?" She slowly lowered her glasses down from her eyes. I opened my mouth to say something, but got cut off by John who was rushing down the stairs "Just out, not for long. Gonna show 'er around the area. " He smiled at his aunt and took his own coat, Mimi looked at us and hummed "Right, John don't forget yer glasses!" She warned the boy, he rolled his eyes, pulling out his glasses and putting them on "Got it, Mimi.." He muttered out just enough for her to hear, she gave us a smile and continued with her book. I looked at John while i was putting on my shoes, honestly the glasses suited him, i dunno what others think, i think that he looks very good!

We were walking around the street, the street lights lighting up the way for us to pass by. I looked out to the distance, admiring the late night streets, i let my arms go up, like i was ready to hug someone, i closed my eyes and smile softly at the breeze, slowly blowing in my face "Yer enjoyin' yerself?" John said, i peaked out of my right eye, seeing a little grin on John's face while he looked at me. I chuckle "Can't i, Lennon?" I responded while i kept my eye on him, he giggled "What? What's so funny?" I said, after i didn't get a response from him, i opened my other eye and looked at him normally, letting my arms flop down my sides. "Nothiiiinn'~" he said, almost singing it out in a way "Tell meeeehhh!" I said, a bit louder. He giggled again "When we get there!" He looked at me and winked in a very stupid way. "Then I'll race ye to there!?" I started lightly jogging, a minute after i said that, Lennon started running faster to the direction we were going to. I laughed out as i started running after him "GET BACK 'ERE YE GIT!" I yelled out to him as i tried desperately to tackle him down.

I finally catch up to him as he slowed down and i ended up pushing him a little. We snickered like little children and reached a little field, filled with all sorts of little flowers all covered in the grassy area, trees filling the grassy field, it looks like one big painting. I sigh loudly and look around "Wowwww, so romantic" i received a laugh from the boy for that comment, the breeze slowly starts coming back blowing out hair around our faces. We stay there in silence taking in all the beauty of the place "So... Who's this person ye were talkin' 'bout?" John turned to me, i look at him a little surprised from the question he gave me. I slowly looked down to the ground and thought for a moment, c'mon now... How can i get out of THIS ONE now?? Just great, he knows it that it's 𝒉𝒊𝒎. He was the first bloke i met in school, he's the only one I've been talkin' and hanging out with for the past days. I sigh a little and closed my eyes.

"You, ye gid. 𝒀𝒐𝒖. You've done so much to make my days worth somethin'. Been there to comfort me. Make me laugh.. It sounds weird.. but it's the truth, I've just never tried bonding with people in general." I shrug and sit on the ground. I didn't look at his reaction at all, i simply just looked out into the view, i did feel him sit down next to me, that's what caught my attention and i gave a little glance at him and looked away right after.

"Softy." He let out a chuckle and ruffled my hair up
