"He's the second smartest in our class." Gwen smirked.

Dr. Connors looked at Peter in such interest and aw.

"Second? Are you sure about that?" Peter grinned.

"Mhm. Pretty sure." Gwen nodded.

Gwen was one of the prettiest girls in school. She was perfect. Her hair was golden blonde, she's super intelligent, and has the perfect family.

And Peter...well he's Peter and I guess you could say I love him for that. He's nerdy, a loner, smart, shy.

I stood there admiring the moment. Amazing Technology and tools surrounding me. I myself am quite the science wiz. I'm here the same reason everyone else is.

To get a special talk with Dr. Connors of course. To learn. To Hear about the future.

The group slowly started making its way to another part of the lab when I noticed Peter drift out of the circle , and over to the exiting doors.

"Peter!" I called out.. a little louder then I wanted too.

He turned back but didn't seem to notice who called for him.

I painted a bright smile across my face and waved.

"Oh". he chuckled.

"Caroline right?" He said approaching me.

My palms got sweaty. Why am I so nervous?

"Yeah. But you can call me C.J." I nodded.

There was an awkward silence and my words started to jumble together.

"That was pretty amazing what you did back there" I complimented.

"Oh you mean with Dr. Connors?" He smiled.

"Yeah that was brilliant. You have a super mind dude." I chuckled.

"Oh well thanks." He said though his cheesy grin.

I noticed his eyes would drift over to Gwen every once and a while.

"Okay! Well I'd better- I mean WE'D better get back to the group." I stuttered.

"Yea right." He chuckled, backing away.

"K, so uhm I'll see you around.. at school or something." I said waving goodbye.
