"Shane! Reed! Get your asses back here!" Ray yelled from behind us, as we ran towards the stairs, shoving people out of the way. When we got to the stairs i ran into a girl, quickly apologizing and picking up her books, Adam rushing me to hurry. Ray caught up to us as we ran down the stairs, Ray grabbed Adam and threw him against the wall, then grabbing me by my long black hair and throwing me to the wall next to Adam. Adam groaned and looked at me, as i rubbed my head from hitting it against the wall. "Got anything else to say?" Ray asked, when Adam opened his mouth and began to say "well actually" before getting punched right in the face. "Adam!" I said, Rays friend, Chuck holding me to the wall.

"I'm gonna enjoy this" Ray said, looking between Adam and I. "Who talks like that?" Adam asked, as i snickered, Chuck pulling me forward and slamming me back against the wall. "Did you order, like, a 'Bully starter kit' on Amazon or something?" Adam said, i chuckled. "I mean, do you even hear yourself?" I said, as Ray growled and looked at me, then back to Adam. "Chuck we talked about this" Adam sighed, Ray looked over at me, then back to Adam. "I didn't say anything" Chuck said, looking away from me to Adam. "Shut up and get your hands off the pretty lady" Adam said, before getting punched in the stomach. Adam and I have the same sarcastic humor, so we have a flirty relationship. I like it, saying as i've liked him since we met, but i'm pretty sure he doesn't do it like that.

Adam doubled over, holding his stomach and groaning, as Chuck finally let go of me and the two boys walked away. "That's what i'm talking about" Chuck laughed. I crouched down next to Adams doubled over figure, as he slid down the wall, now sitting against it. I sat next to him as he began to wheeze, taking his inhaler out and using it. He put it back in his pocket and looked at me. "Sammie, are you okay?" He asked, taking his figure to my cheek, whipping it and showing me the blood. "Yea i'm fine, are you?" I asked him, showing as his nose was bleeding. "Yea, i'm more worried about you, is your back okay?" He asked, i nodded. "Probably just bruised" I laughed, he laughed with me.

We were now sitting outside the Principals office, as Ellie; Adams mom's heels were heard clicking as she walked down the hall towards us. "Not a word" Ellie said, pointing to Adam, before lifting his chin up to look at her, then knocked on the Principals office. "Mrs. Reed-" the principal began as Ellie opened the door, going in, before Ellie released her anger to the man. "Did you see his face?!" The door slammed behind her, as the yelling was now faint, still loud enough to hear. Adam looked down at the ground, so i grabbed his hand to cheer him up. He looked over to me and smiled. He was 5'4, which people called him short for it, but i was much shorter, i was 5'2 almost 5'3.

"What, you're gonna suspend Adam and Sam? Because what?" Ellie yelled, as Adam and I listened to the conversation. "You think they started the fight with that thug Ray?" Ellie shouted once again. "Was it Ray Dollarhyde again?!" She asked. "It's barely been a year since we lost his father" Ellie said, as Adam looked down again at the sound of his father. His father treated me like i was his own daughter too, though he wasn't my dad, he was the father figure in my life i never had. My dad left my mom after she found out she was pregnant with me, which left me and my mom. Then my mom died and my older sister, Laura took care of me. The Laura died a few days after Adams dad passed. Adam barley even know Laura exist—existed. All he knows is i had a sister. "You could show some compassion" Ellie said, as Adam rubbed his thumb along my hand.

"It wasn't my fault" Adam said, as i quietly listened to the conversation as Ellie took us to their house. "I know you, Adam, and i know you too Sam. I know that mouth that you both have, I know exactly why you got punched." Ellie said, i smirked softly. Adam and I have a very bad case of Sarcasm. "He was giving not only me, but Sammie crap in front of the whole class, i couldn't just take it" Adam said, looking at his mother. "He's twice your size, especially for you Sam" Ellie said, looking at me through her mirror. "Everyone is twice my size, and i've seen babies bigger than her" Adam laughed, as i smacked his arm, he chuckled. "I don't understand you" Ellie sighed again. "Dad would" Adam said, i hitched my breath as the silence grew.
