The Tent Scene (Not Me, the series. OffGun)

Chapter 1: Gun

P'Nuchy told us we could do anything we wanted. "You can do whatever you want. Just make it consensual and romantic."
I was not sure what she expected. After the 40 retakes on the rooftop, Papii and I were already tired and spent. We did have a discussion about what we could do, the consensual part was never discussed. We quickly decided to improvise whatever came to our minds.

"Do you want to start or should I?“ Papii asked me. I was blank, so I told him he could take the lead.

The scene would have to be shot twice with 4 angles - 2 on us, one on the side, and fourth outside. We were aware that with just two cameras we would have to remember whatever improvisations we brought to the scene.

P'Nuchy wanted to start with the closeups, so we were free to improvise and say what we wanted. Papii said "Let's keep it simple." I agreed.

When action was called I went inside the tent. It did not have much light. I decided to take the darker side and gave Papii the better lit place as he was taking the lead.
Papii as Sean came in a few seconds right after me. He looked at me softly. I was no more Gun. I was White - the guy Sean had just kissed. I knew that we would make love, but how does that happen right after a kiss at the rooftop? P'Nuchy had suggested we could add "are you horny? " because that's how she had picturised it in her mind. During rehearsals I felt it was too brash. White wouldn't say that. I couldn't say it to Papii either. The ruckus she created after that! "Why can't you say it, Nong? It's just 3 words! "

It played at the back of my mind. Papii understood my dilemma. He didn't push me to stick to the script. He told me we could do anything and he would convince P'Nuchy thereafter.
