Chapter 3 - Umbridge

I was never much of a breakfast eater so when I sat down at the table and dished myself up a minute helping, James wasn't very fazed, however that didn't go for the rest of the group.

"Is that all you're gonna eat Alex?" Pansy asked with a curious look in her eye. That caught the attention of the rest.

"Yeah I'm not really that hungry." I shrug.

"You should really have a bit more, the days are long and you need your energy." This time it was Natalie who piped up, although she looked concerned.

"It's alright, I'm just nervous for the first day of school." I chuckle.

"Speaking of, what lesson does everyone have next? I have Herbology." asked Theo.

A few of us chorused Transfiguration and Theo did not look happy. "Wait so you're telling me I have to suffer a whole hour of Professor Sprout alone?"

"Sorry mate." Blaise clapped him on the back with a humored snort.

After looking down at her timetable, her head shot up, "Oh you can't be bloody serious! My timetable changed! Well Theo you got your wish, I have Herbology too." says Pansy with a grumble.

"Pans, if you hate it so much why did you choose it?" I asked the grumpy girl.

"Well it's not like I had a choice! My parents forced me because, and I quote, "It's a good life skill for young ladies"! Unbelievable..."

"Peachy parents we have hey Pans?" And there's the drawling voice of Draco Malfoy that I so enjoy (in case you can't tell, that was sarcasm).

"Your parents are also forcing you to take Herbology?" Pansy's mood suddenly picked up in finding out she wasn't alone with terrible parents.

"Yeah, although I would have to take it anyway. It's a requirement for my future job." he says with a role of his eyes.

"Huh, who would've thought that Draco Malfoy had hopes and dreams?" I sarcastically ask quietly, however it was louder than I expected.

"It's funny that you mention that seeing as one of my "hopes and dreams" is that you suffocate in your sleep." he glares at me.

"Y'know I think I'll make sure my bedding is perfectly snug just to spite you." I scowl back.

"Alright everybody simmer down, we're going to be late for class." James stands up and the group follow.

"Hey let's hope Malfoy doesn't get bitten by a mandrake - oh wait that's already happened!" I say with a smirk.

He turns around and flips me off with a glare so cold that if looks could kill you, I would be six feet deep.

Daphne and Blaise head off to Ancient Runes while James, Natalie and I walk to Transfiguration.

"Right class, today we will be learning how to change the colour of your hair. Repeat after me Colovaria." Professor McGonagall instructed.

"Colovaria." The whole class chorused.

"Good, now get into partners and try to change the others hair colour." She stopped talking and walked around, correcting people wand movement or posture.

James and I partnered up while Natalie partnered with another Slytherin girl with long dark hair.

"Colovaria, hey what was that between you and Malfoy after breakfast?" James asked while a few strands if my hair changed to bright pink.

"What do you mean? I was just pissing him off. Colovaria." I managed to change half of James's hair to bright blue.

"Yeah but why?" James asked.
