I was woken from my nap by someone shaking me. "Alex, wake up we're at Hogsmeade." I recognized the voice of Natalie whisper shouting.

I fluttered my eyes open. "Oh thank you." I whispered back.

I stood up, grabbed my hand luggage and exited the train with Natalie. We soon met up with James and the rest of the boys who were talking amongst themselves. When we joined them, Theo gave me a bright smile and I smiled back. I then realized my brother was looking quite lost while eyeing the girls.

"Oh, sorry James, this is Daphne Greengrass," I pointed to the dark blonde girl next to me. She gave him a polite smile that he returned,"this is Pansy Parkinson," I gestured to the girl with the dark brown bob. She sent him a smirk to which he returned with a small smile and a nod, "and this is Natalie Morris." I pointed to the small blonde girl that was staring at James with big eyes. When James looked over to her, her eyes connected with his and they just stared; seemingly lost in their own little world. James's eyes grew wide and his cheeks had the faintest blush. He stuck out his hand for her to shake and cleared his throat.

"Hi, I'm James." He spoke quietly.

She grabbed his hand gently and they both jumped a bit, startled by an electrical first touch. "U-uhm hi." She breathed. Their hands were still connected while they looked into each other's eyes.

I looked amongst my new friends, trying to catch someone's eye and found Blaise looking back at me. I shared a knowing look with him and gestured to our two friends still staring at each other. He smirked and shook his head.

My cough broke the two out of their gazing and they both started shuffling awkwardly back to their places.

"Well I think we should head for the carriages. Alex and James, you guys go to the boats for the tour and then we'll see you at the Sorting." Said Pansy.

Just then the annoying voice of Draco Malfoy sounded, "I wonder what house you two will end up in... Blackburn?" He turned to James.

"Im not sure, I'm hoping Slytherin. I mean that's where our mum and dad went." James shrugged, clearly not stressed by the idea of being sorted into the house that will become his family for the next three years. I, on the other hand can't wait for the Sorting to commence because I don't think I can handle another minute of uncertainty.

"And what about the little Blackburn?" Draco turned to me with a smirk.

"I'm not sure..." I responded.

"Hmm, Gryffindor? No. Definitely not. Ravenclaw? Hah! Imagine that!" He laughed hysterically. I could feel the anger simmer beneath my skin. "Oooh I think I've done it... Hufflepuff! Yes I think Hufflepuff suits you seeing as you're so innocent and naïve."

I froze in my place, remembering the day clearest in my head.

"No please don't do this! I swear I'll never leave you again, I won't even look at other guys just please don't do this!" I sobbed while he pinned my arms above my with one of his hands so tight I was sure I would have bruises in the morning.

"Oh you stupid, naïve, little girl. I will do with you whatever I want to. What are you going to do, go running off and tell daddy what we have been doing for the past year? Let him know that you're clearly not as innocent as he thinks you are?" He laughed sadistically. I screamed at the top of my lungs, heaving sobs racking through my chest.

"Malfoy enough." James's voice brought me out of my head.

I lifted my head and realized everyone was staring at me, wondering why I stopped. I turned to Draco to see him looking between James and I, obviously confused by the change of atmosphere.
