chapter 1 meeting dream

I ran into a cave as shelter for the monsters. It was currently night time and i only had a stone sword and iron boots.

I quickly blocked off the entrance with dirt and placed a touch for light.

The cave was luckly a dead end so i did not have to worry about monsters.

I sat down against the stone wall and relaxed.

I woke up to the dirt blocks being broken.
I looked up and saw a man.

The man had a green hoodie the hood was over his head. He had brown trousers on, and a belt. the belt had a axe, the axe was netherite. but the most noticeable thing about him though was the white smile mask. the mask was lifted right over his mouth but that was also the only thing visible on his face.

I jumped up and grabbed my stone sword. not that it would help against a netherite axe.

I took a defenceing stance. "Who are you?" i said in a rather agresive tone.

The man just smirked. "The question should more be, who are you" the man said in a calm voice.

"I am Y/N now tell me who you are" i said frowning.

The man just relaxed against the stone wall "my name is dream the creator of this land" the man said in a duh tone.

"So what brings you here?" dream said while looking at me, atleast i think he did i could not see his face.

"I was just traveling and it became night time and i ran in here to rest" i said honestly i did not see why he could not know this information.

Dream rose from the wall and walked over to me. "Do you need shelter i can give it to you, you just need to be my personal helper."

"What do i need to do as your helper?" i asked interested in the offer.

"Its quite simple, you just need to be quite unless i ask you to speak. and obey my every command without question" dream said smirking.

"And i get shelter, food, armor and weopens?" i said while lifting my eyebrow.

Dream took a step back "yes we will go over more you have to do later if you agree that is".

I began smiling "Well then dream you have gotten yourself a deal".

"I will give you appropiate clothes and armor aswell as weopens" dream said while turning around and began walking out of the cave.

I followed after him.

We came to a house in the woods it had 2 stories.

I followed him inside the house.

The inside was nice there was a couch in the corner, and there was a kitchen area. there was 2 doors in the back of the room and a stair case.

I was startled by a voice and let out a yelp "come on i will show you where your room will be" he chuckled and i blushed in embarrassment.

I followed him up the stairs, in a hall and to the last door in the hall.

He opened the door and stepped in. i walked in after.

The room was desent sized. the room had twin sized bed with gray covers that was neatly laid on the bed. There was 2 windows, and a door that i think is the bathroom. there was a dresser and a book case.

"I will come with the clothes you need to wear when working" Dream said while walking out and closing the door.

I walked to the dresser and looked inside it. Nothing.

'Guess that's not so weird when he did not expect me'. I thought

I walked over to the bed and laid on it. The bed was comfortable and the bed covers were surprisingly soft.

A few moments later I stood up from the bed before I fell asleep.

I walked over to the bathroom. the bathroom was decent sized there was a shower enclosure which was decent sized it could fit 3 people. there was a marble sink and a mirror over the sink.

I walked over to the sink. I looked in the mirror.

My H/C H/L was matted and tangled together. My E/C was more dull than normal. My F/C hoodie was dirty, and ripped in multiple places. My black jeans were also dirty and ripped. My black combat boots were worn and almost ripped.

I walked out of the bathroom and walked over to the bookcase. I found a dark purple book with the title in gold letters "Monster facts".

I sat down on the bed and opened the book.

After i had read 9 pages there was a knock on the door.

i put the bog down on the bed and walked over to the door and opened it.

Dream was outside with red and black clothing and another mask. I stepped aside so Dream could enter.

"These are the clothing you will wear outside your room. You're aloud to have differnt clothing on inside your room but around the house you need to wear it. We will also go over the rules now" Dream said sitting on the bed laying the bed beside him.

I noded as a sign for him to continue. "You will obey my every command outside the house. You will only talk or answer if i give you premission. You will be by my side unless i dismiss you. And you will wear the house outside the house and inside if we have guests you will not take the mask off unless given premission outside the house. You will not give out personal information without premission. The only information you may give out is that your name is Nightmare and you work for me. Is all of this clear?" Dream asks when finished talking.

"Yes i understand Dream. And if i do all of this you will give me shelter, food, armor?" you asked Dream. Nightmare was a pretty cool name too so that was a plus.

"Yes and if you do, do this and then back out later i will have to either throw you out or take all the stuff i have given you" Dream said sternly.

"That sounds fair" i said smiling at Dream.

"Now change and go out and buy what you need. Remember to keep the mask on." Dream said as he rose from the bed and threw a small bag beside me and then left.

I took the clothing and mask and went to the bathroom.

I closed the door and changed.

The clothing he gave me was a red hodie and black jeans. the mask was a white mask with a frown instead of a smile.

I brushed out my hair with my fingers the best i could. I put the hood over my head and took my hair under it so it was unseen. Then i put on the mask it was a bit hard to the strap to stay but i manged to get it to stay. The mask was surprisingly easy to look out of.

I walked out of the room.
