"I'm sorry-what did you just say?" Lefou asked with a stunned look on his face. Gaston rolled his eyes as his cheeks heated up.

"I love you alright? There I said it," he said quietly. Lefou pointed his finger towards his own chest and chuckled. "Me? You love me?"

"Yes, yes! Don't make me say it again please," Gaston rested his head on his hands, obviously looking embarrassed.

"Wait wait wait wait," Lefou stood up from the ground. "You? Mr. I love Belle and beautiful women, loves short stumpy Lefou?"

"I know. Talk about the plot twist of the century my friend," Gaston looked up to Lefou. "Like yourself, I too could not bring myself to be honest about my own feelings."

"Wow." Lefou sat back down beside Gaston. "I can't believe I never noticed."

Gaston chuckled lightly. "I never noticed with you either. I mean, I knew you liked men but I thought your type was more of the "Stanley" type of man. Scrawny and sensitive," he said with a smile.

Lefou laughed and shook his head. "No, Stanley is absolutely not my kind of man. I only agreed to go on a date with him because I was desperate for some kind of attention. Even if it was only one sided."

Gaston nodded in understanding. "I felt similarly. Women flocked to me so after a while I just accepted that this was going to be my life. I thought maybe one day I would start to feel the same things they felt towards me. But when I met you I.." he paused to look into Lefou's chestnut brown eyes. "I knew that was never going to happen."

"Why was that Gaston?" Lefou asked.

Gaston smiled at Lefou. "Because the feelings I felt towards you could not be replicated towards anyone else."

Lefou blushed and started rubbing his hands nervously. "You really mean that?"

Gaston placed a strong yet gentle hand on Lefou's cheek. "I really do."

Just as Gaston started to lean closer to Lefou's face, a familiar voice was heard calling from the woods. "Lefou!!" Lefou turned around to see Stanley running up from the hillside. Gaston's eyes narrowed in frustration and stood up. 'You've got to be fucking kidding me. He has some nerve showing his face around me after what happened the last time I saw him', he thought to himself. Lefou stood up as well and smiled awkwardly at Stanley.

"Hi Stanley. What, ah, brings you to this side of town?" Lefou asked, trying to be polite.

Stanley smiled at the two - almost too big of a smile. "I was about to ask you both the same thing. Usually it's only Gaston out frolicking around the woods hunting and what not, so I was surprised when I went to your little cottage and realized you were both gone."

Lefou glanced at Gaston and uttered out a fake sounding laugh. "W-well I thought I would join Gaston this time. Hunting isn't my usual sport of leisure but there is a first time for everything!"

'What the hell was this bastard doing just showing up to our house? Especially after he showed up unannounced in the past ,' Gaston thought with an annoyed expression on his face.

"What's wrong Gaston? You are wearing a nasty face right now. I know we've had some conflict in the past but I am ready to put that aside for the sake of Lefou," Stanley reached out his hand to Gaston.

"What do you mean, "for the sake of Lefou?"", Gaston folded his arms across his chest.

Stanley approached Lefou and placed an arm around his shoulders. "I mean if we are going to be dating I want to be cordial with his best friend."

Lefou removed Stanley's arm and took a step back from the taller man. "Hold on Stanley. Since when did I agree to date you?"

Stanley frowned. "I thought it was pretty obvious when you didn't reject my kiss that you wanted to be with me romantically."

Lefou groaned and rubbed his temples with annoyance. "Just because we kissed once does not make me your boyfriend."

"But we danced at the ball! A-and not only did we kiss but we went on a date! I have to believe that these things happened for a reason," Stanley expressed.

"Oh, Stanley. Yes, those things happened but nothing more. We never had a conversation about being together romantically. You can't just assume things without talking about it."

"You are a fool Stanley," Gaston finally came out of his silence. "A naive fool. If you know whats' good for you, you'd leave us alone." Gaston glared at Stanley and stood in front of Lefou.

Stanley stood quietly for a few moments and studied the two. Suddenly, Stanley's eyes widened. "W-wait a second. Are you two..? he gestured to the pair.

Before Lefou could speak, Gaston grabbed onto his hand. "Yes, we are. And if that an issue for you well I'd gladly have you talk to my fist," he said as he raised his other hand into a fist.

Stanley took a few steps back and raised his hands in an act of surrender. "I know better than pick a fight with you Gaston. You'd surely kick my ass," he sounded defeated.

"Smart man. Now get out of here. If I see you poking around our house or harassing us again, I won't be as forgiving," Gaston threatened.

Stanley stumbled to the ground before quickly getting up to run away. 'This isn't over Gaston.'

Gaston smirked as he watched Stanley fade off in the distance. "I think we finally got rid of him. What a pest," he looked at Lefou.

Lefou nodded in agreement. "I was an idiot for getting involved with him. I had no idea he was capable of such annoyance."

Gaston laughed and took Lefou's hand. "Is this okay?"

Lefou blushed and looked down at his feet happily.

"Yes."
