~The Lost and Found~

Chapter 4:~The Golden Dragon's posion~

Melodiana sat in The Queen's office when a servant entered with a glass of wine. "Your Majesty," she said. "Thank you," Melodiana dismissed the servant and took her glass with wine and drank it slowly. Francesco was away hunting for the moment and would soon return. Luckily! Because Melodiana was longing to see her husband again.

Melodiana was on her way to her and Francesco's bedchambers when she started feeling badly dizzy and her head was pounding with a badly headache. "Your Majesty," a Maid rushed to the Queen's side and Melodiana supported herself against the wall. "I'm alright, Clarice... I just need rest," she lied. She wasn't feeling alright at all.

As soon as Melodiana entered her and Francesco's chambers and have closed the doors behind her, she began walking slowly towards their bed. She only managed to take a few more steps towards the bed before she collapsed to the floor and fell into unconscious.

Atheina who had been looking for her daughter in law, found Melodiana laying on the floor and immediately rushed to her side. "Guards!," she yelled loudly, "The Queen!,"

Francesco stormed into his and his wife's chambers and hurried over to Melodiana who lay unconscious in their bed with high fever, small coughing, and slow breathing. "What's happened to her?," he exclaimed worriedly. The court physician gave his young King a sad and worried look. "The Queen has been poisoned by an unknown source," he explained, "But that's not all," "What is it?," Sebastian asked worriedly. The physician sighed and looked at the worried Francesco. "She's been poisoned with the poison of The Gold Dragon. The dragon with the most dangerous and strongest poisons in all of Shivanna. Only the Dragon Lord himself can reverse and cure Melodiana of the poison," the Physician explained, "If Melodiana is not cured by the time the poison reaches her heart, she will die," Francesco felt his anger rise. "He's going to pay dearly for this!," he raised angrily from his seat by Melodiana's side of their bed. "Francesco, you cannot go after him!," Atheina warned her son worriedly, "If you go against The Dragon Lord, you will be killed! The only thing we can do is to send messages to Melodiana's parents and they can get help from The Demon King Amaranth himself," Francesco turned towards his mother. "My wife is dying! I'm not going to sit back and watch her die while that dragon sits and laughs behind the scenes," And he stormed out of chambers and Atheina and Sebastian looked at each other and sighed deeply.
