4. Just another Broken Heart

I stood outside Cabin 3 and reached a pale hand out to knock at the door. No answer. I knocked harder and I heard footsteps. The door opened and Percy stuck his head through the opening. His eyes looked more red than before."Hey Nico. Come in." He said and opened the door even wider to let me in.

Perct closed the door and turned to look at me."So how did it go? What did she say?" I asked. Percy stared at the floor and let out a heavy sigh."She said just what I thought she would say. Its over and there is nothing I can do about it. I tried to tell her how I felt but she wouldn't listen. It's official now. She and Jake are a couple," he looked up at me, a look of sheer depression written boldly across his face. His words were flat, no spirit in them. He was broken. I guess that made two of us.

A tear slid down his cheek. I reached out a hand and wiped it away with my thumb."Im so sorry Percy. I really thought that if you talked to her she would change her mind. Im sorry," I said, wishing that I were dead because my 'help' just hurt Percy even more.

"Not your fault, Nico," he said, barely able to say my name because he was starting to sob. He slid down to the floor and bawled his eyes out. I kneeled beside him and put an arm around his shoulders. He snuggled further into my chest and so I wrapped my arms around him. He was so warm against my cold skin. My heart was shattered into a million pieces, and thrown into a blender, hearing Percy's cries.

I buried my face in his hair, and just held onto him. I had no idea what else to do. It hurt so badly to see him like this. I wanted to make it stop. But I couldn't and I felt completely helpless.

I had no idea how long we sat there, Percy's sobs turning into faint whines. I looked down at Percy when he had turned completely silent and found him asleep in my arms. I gently picked him up and lowered him onto his bed, draping his blanket over him.

I knelt next to the bed and looked at Percy, his face almost looking peaceful in his sleep. I brushed a lock of hair from his face. I softly pressed a kiss to his forehead and crept quietly to the door, and let myself out, closing the door behind me.

Oh yes, forgot to tell you guys! Got school tomorrow but I will try my best to write the next chapter but if I dont get to it please dont get angry
