I woke up feeling okayish for a change. But a part of me was utterly torn apart. Seeing Percy so hurt that night, his sobs piercing the silence of the Posiedon cabin, and knowing it was all my fault... I shouldn't have meddled but I would have done anything to see Percy happy again.

He was so miserable and I didnt know what to do to change that. And so it hurt. Alot. But I was determined to feel better.

I wriggled out of my zombie jammies and put on my favourite skull print shirt and black skinny jeans. I glanced at my aviator jacket. It was quite warm and the sun was shining bright outside my window. I decided against wearing it.

As I wandered about outside, I passed by the Apollo kids trying their best to try and teach a boy with dark hair how to shoot a bow. He seemed to be aiming everywhere but the target. I inched cautiously closer and caught a glimpse of the boys face... Percy.

I wanted to laugh. He was so good at everything, but he couldnt shoot to save Olympus. Not even the Apollo kids could fix how bad he was. I walked over behind him after they gave up and walked away.

"You know the whole point of archery is to hit the target, right?", I asked. He spun around with an arrow still nocked."Whoah! Okay I dont really fancy being killed right now, so please lower that," I said, gesturing towards his bow.

"Hey Nico. Sorry. Just wanted to distract myself so I tried to concentrate on something that would keep me occupied for a while," he said, lowering the bow and smiling. Gods he was so beautiful when he smiled.

"Thats okay. How are you?" He lifted up his chin and puffed out his chest."I'm great. I have realized that sulking and crying myself to sleep isn't going to make me feel much better so I am just not going to think about it anymore. Annabeth has moved on. So should I," he said confidently, even though his voice wavered when he said Annabeths name.

Well at least he was trying to get over himself. "That is great, Percy. Its good to hear that you're feeling abit better," I said cheerfully."Looks like you could really use a hand" I said looking at the neglected bow."I suck," said Percy, a blush creeping over his cheeks.

"Its nothing that Nico cant fix." I said. Frank gave me afew boring lectures about archery and I really didn't care but I was really greatful for them right now...

Percy picked the bow up carefully and stood facing the target and nocked the arrow again.he raised the bow and aimed, drew back the string, and sent the arrow flying into the bushes to the far right of the target.

I burst out laughing, and Percy joined in. His laughter was such a wonderful sound, ringing with pure joy. No Nico, I thought. He was just getting over Annabeth... I couldnt think about myself, Percy needed me.

Percy was doubled over and I walked over to him, still giggling."Okay lets see what we can do abou that. Now what you are doing wrong is that you're facing the target. You should always have your side face the target," and I walked up behind him and placed my hands on his hips, guiding him to let his side face the target. Where my skin met his hips, it shot sparks up through my arms and through my body. I immediately let go.

"Now raise your bow and draw back your string," I instructed. He raised the bow and drew back, just as I said. I walked up behind him again."Your elbow is too high," I said, and lowered his elbow. I walked around to see if he was drawing the string back to his lips."Draw back more, until the string touches your lips". He drew back further until the string was brushing against his lips.

I examined how he held the arrow in place."Percy, you always have three fingers drawing your string back. You only have two." And I walked over and showed him which three fingers did what.

"Okay now you have to aim just above the target. Need help with that?" He nodded. I walked up behind him and put my hand over the one he used to clutch the bow, and put my other hand over the hand that that pulled back the arrow. We were awfully close and I couldnt help but blush.

I adjusted his aim and whispered in his ear,"You ready?" "Yes," he said and let go of the string, sending the bow straight onto the middle of the target. I stepped back away from him and smiled. He was grinning ear to ear."I hit a bullseye!"he said, and laughed in amazement. I was trying to calm down from being so close to him and looked down to hide my furiously red cheeks.

"Well technically, we hit a bullseye," I corrected him.

"Thanks Nico. You have helped me so much. You were there for me when no one else was." That just made me blush harder. I was really glad to hear these words. It was good to know that I hadn't completely broken his heart by forcing him to talk to Annabeth. But still I felt guilty. He shed so many tears and some of them were because of me. I felt my face fall and suddenly the world didn't seem as okayish as it had a minute ago.

I felt like it was all my fault. The crying, the pain. The helplessnes in Percy's voice. All of it was my fault. Wave after wave of guilt hit me. I felt a hand on my shoulder to find Percy looking straight into my eyes."Whats wrong?" He asked, concerned."It's my fault you felt so bad... I shouldn't have made you talk to her. I made you hurt more than you already did. Im sorry," I said, and began to walk away.

"No Nico. It wasn't your fault. It was mine, thinking that I might actually have a chance with her again. You didn't hurt me. You helped me see that I have to move on, get over her. Im greatful that you were there to help me. Thanks," he said. I turned around slowly and saw him trying for a smile.

I smiled back. A huge weight lifted off my shoulders, and that little spark of hope that had almosed died, lit up again. He said admitted that there was no future for him and Annabeth. Maybe I could have a chance. A warm feeling bubbled in my stomach and I fought the urge to kiss him right there and then.

"Since you have helped me, I think I should return the favour." He said with a grin spread across his face.

"What do you mean?" I asked curiously. His eyes sea green danced mischievously and sparkled in the sun."So who is the lucky girl?" He asked, his smile getting broader. I was confused...And then I realised he wanted to set me up with someone. My stomach dropped to the floor. How was I going to get out of this now?

"Come on, you can trust me!" Said Percy."N-no Percy. No I don't need a relationship right now," I protested but Percy pressed on."Oh please! Surely you like someone! Who is she? I could help you ask her out!" I really appreciated the fact that Percy was trying to help me but it was getting abit much."Percy stop," I said."Ooh, I saw this really pretty girl eyeing you afew days ago... yeah her name was Ashleigh from the Demeter cabin. A real catch!" He tried again.

"Percy-" but he cut me off."I also saw a naiad checking you out and-" "PERCY WILL YOU JUST STOP?! IM GAY OKAY?!"
