Kumagawa was, once again, enjoying the taste of Rem's chocolate cake. After that night the oni girl began to cook them for him regulary.

There's many ways this action could be taken as. Did she feel guilty and wanted to be a good friend?...As he'd believe that with how many times the girl blushes around him.

He's not, and he means no harm by it, Zenkichi. Now, he wouldn't say Rem is in love with him. But she most certainly has a crush on him. But then, does he love her?

He's...not sure. Love might be a natural and simple thing at first glance, but it's much more complicated. And his relationship with Najimi only made it even more complicated for him, as the concept of love was further twisted in his heart.

While not sure if he loves, he does like her. The girl was so sweet that even he couldn't stay neutral to her.

Kumagawa:[Ah, delicious as alwais!]

Rem:Thank you, I try my best.

Kumagawa:[Hm, I guess we should celebrate for the village not becoming mincemeat. You can only imagine what that'd do Roswal-chan's image.]

Rem:I still think that was a little reckless.

Kumagawa:[It's not like we had much of a choice. Roswal-chan was away on bussiness. Puck-chan was dematerialized and Emilia-chan simply didn't have the combat prowess to deal with it. I can't really say anything about Beatrice-chan, but I never saw her leave her library so I don't she'd have helped.]

Rem:Well, it does look like I was worried for nothing. Ram told me how you've done. Are those the abilities you were talking about?

Kumagawa:[It wasn't even the tip of the iceberg. But you really seem to hate those with cultists, huh?]

Rem:They atacked our village when we were young. All the others were killed, and Ram's horm was cut off...I'll never forgive them.

Kumagawa:[Hm, I also found out about this so called witch scent. Now I atleast know why you wanted to kill me so bad.]

Rem froze in her spot. She looked at Kumagawa with a expression of guilt and fear.

Rem:You...knew?

Kumagawa:[Hm, I'm quiet familiar with the feeling. Well, you don't need to feel so bad about it. You're not the first and I doubt you'd be the last. Plus you weren't really without a reason. Now I know why you have that inferiority complex too.]

Rem:...What?

Kumagawa:[Oh, it's not like you're really hiding it. You're overwhelmed by the guilt of having your sister lose her horn, which I assume it's very important, but it's not your fault.]

Rem:But...it is.

Kumagawa:[Nope! Do you really think your sister lost her horn because of you? Rem-chan, there's bo fate in this world. Those witch cultists are a bunch of lunatics. They attacked your village just because. If you weren't there, thry'd still have done it. Things would end up worse, though.]

Rem:Why? Why would it end worse!? How can it be worse!?

Kumagawa:[Because Ram-chan would be alone.]

Rem...

Kumagawa:[Lossing so amny people you lived with is bad enough, but can you imagine if you weren't there? There'd be no one to share her pain with? No one to support with? In fact, this comportament of yours only hurts Ram-chan more.]

Rem:I...hurt Ram?

Kumagawa:[How do you think she feels when she sees you putting yourself down? You're doing all house work better and she's in pain seeing how you act like your inferior.]
