(The age for you and the trio here is 8 - 9)

Emma ran through the half wooden panel corridor with the rest of the wall being a light yellow that was almost white. All of the kids were heading outside of the house. Emma even skipped a few steps walking down the porch entrance. Her basket swinging on her arm.

"Alright, is everyone here?" Mama asked as she looked over the crowd of kids while counting heads.

Basically, any kid who could walk and find a stuff could play. All the kids had baskets in order to play.

"Yes!"

"Mhm!"

"Yep!"

The kids answered mama enthusiastically. They were all excited as well as getting impatient besides one Raven haired boy. He seemed to want to get it over with.

"Alright you all know the rules. No shoving, pushing, or kicking. No going in the house either. Whoever has the most eggs found, wins!" Mama said with enthusiasm to match the kid's "When I start the timer you all get to start looking. When the timer goes off, you all must return to the tree. You have about 25 minutes!"

And then mama held up the timer, she clicked the button at the top. Indicating that their time had started.

Everyone started scrambling in different directions towards the forest. This was the outside egg hunt after all. You also took off in a direction.

"Y/N?" Emma called out as you had just started running.

"Sorry, Em, you're on your own!" You called out.

"It's okay Emma I'll look with you." Norman offered.

"Okay!" Emma was happy with that.

While Ray did run in a different direction to begin looking he was rather sluggish for himself.

-

You slightly climbed up a tree to find an egg on the lowest branch. This was probably meant for the older kids but you could care less.

You grabbed it an slid down. It made your hands rough from the bark. You then continued to search in bushes.

You even scared one of the smaller kids as you ripped the branches apart from the bushes to look for the egg. The kid was startled by the sudden movement before they realized it was you. Although you didn't give them time to let out a breath of relief. You snatched the egg that was hidden in the bushes. You then proceeded to dash away as you didn't have time for conversation.

You then came upon an egg laying by a tree at the base. Along with a certain Raven haired boy approaching it as well. Welp..

You stuck out your foot in front of him as you sped past. He tripped. It took him a second to process as he tried to regain his balance. You had taken the egg in your possession already though.

"That's cheating, you know." The Raven hair boy said.

"She said nothing about tripping, so technically... It's not." You shrugged.

He then tripped you instead. He swept his feet under neath yours.

"That's cheating!" You fired at him trying to keep your basket safe.

"She said nothing about tripping." He mimicked you.

You got up from the ground. You slowly walked up to him. Then... You stole one of his eggs out of his basket. You put it in yours then ran.

He ran after you, yanking on your basket, stealing one or two. You tried slapping his hands off but no luck. You went around a tree making him let go of the basket.

You circled around though, taking his eggs.

"Hey! What are you two doing?!" You both heard a voice approach you. It was one of the older kids. She was about to turn twelve years old.

".. Collecting eggs?" You said in questionable tone.

"That's cheating stealing from another person's basket." She sternly said. "Let go of it." The girl insisted

She sighed and let go.

"Come on." She grabbed the back of both your collars. She dragged you out of the forest and back to mom.

"It hasn't even been fifteen minutes." Mom mumbled as she saw the two trouble makers being dragged.

"They were taking each other's eggs." The girl told mama.

"Looks like I'll have to add another rule." Mom sighed. "You two are eliminated."

"But mom!" You protested.

"You can try again next year. Go sit down on the porch stairs. Both of you." Mom said.

You sighed. You were bummed out. You gloomily sat yourself down on the stairs. Ray sitting on a stair below you.

"Well I didn't want to participate anyway." Ray said.

"Why?" You asked, leaning over to face him.

"Waste of time." He simply said.

"You say everything that is fun is a waste of time." You said letting your chin rest in your palm.

"It is." Ray mumbled.

"Maybe it is a waste but it gave me a memory so I don't find it as much as a waste." You stated.

Ray didn't respond. The two of you waited for everyone else.

Everyone was back to the tree. They were all counting individually how many they collected. Emma and Norman ran up to the two of you on the porch.

"Why aren't you counting eggs? What happened?" Emma asked as she sat down, dragging Norman to as well.

She began counting her eggs as Norman had given her all of his.

"We stole each other's eggs and it made us eliminated." You said.

Ray nodded.

"You two just can't stay out of trouble together." Emma sighed happily. It was like she liked the dynamics that we had here in this moment. She never wanted to let those go.

"I guess not." Ray bluntly said.

-

"And the winner is..." Mom waited a second before announcing to keep suspense "Emma!"

She was given eggs from Norman after all. Although she probably would have won anyway.

"Aw man." Some kids sighed

"Good job Emma!"

"Congratulations!"

-

"I'm never doing an Easter egg hunt again." You grumbled in defeat.

"Ya right, just wait till next year comes around." Ray said.
