(This is for entertainer's purposes only and in no way related to the episodes of Netflix's Centaurworld. I hope you enjoy)
moon-taur rose into the glowing indigo night and the star-taurs are awake and shining. All creatures of centaur world had fallen into a deep blissful slumber. All except one non-centaur. You were a wandering trader traveling both worlds in hope of earning some money for your home that was damaged by Minotaurs. You've managed to sell a couple of items before in this fever dream realm.
Just three weeks ago you sold your old pink accordion you used to play to a large purple hippo woman for one rutabaga-taur. Sure it wasn't money but Jeremey, which you named it turned out to be a fun travel buddy. Another week later you sold an old crocodile skin purse to an odd-looking Hyena-taur who creeped you out so much that you just gave it to him for free to run away. And then there was an odd-looking tree man asking if you've seen his jacket anywhere so you tried to offer him yours but it was too big for him, so he ran off. Despite all that you've yet to make a single coin.
Even with the moon's glow, it was still hard to make out where you were even going. Jeremy the rutabaga-taur sat on your shoulder as he was starting to dose off, his hollow eyes slowly shutting tight. However, you refused to let sleep get in your way, and yet your eyes began to play tricks on you. You remember the night of the Minotaur attack clearly but your brain was too sleep-deprived to think right now. At this point, it felt like your brain had melted into goo and was sloshing around in your noggin making your head wobble side to side.
Your clothes were sweaty and covered in dirt from falling a couple of times from the heavy bag you carried on your back. The bag was the size of your entire body and maybe bigger. You tried to be careful when handling all your items inside the bag because nobody wants to purchase a broken item...unless they were a trash-taur. As you wandered deeper into the woods you suddenly feel the sensation of falling and you land hands first on the hard ground. Pain spread through your bones like electricity to wire as you just laid there with your head throbbing like a heartbeat.
You hear the worried gibberish of Jeremy frantically pushing your heavy body to get up. Jeremy manages to push you onto your back and stands on top of your gut which didn't hurt. You go to pat Jeremy on the head but a sharp pain strikes your wrists. Even though your hand just cast a shadow beneath it as you lifted it above your face to examine it, you could see that you've scratched yourself on the hard rock surface when you fell. The wound wasn't serious but it did sting quite a lot. Jeremy looks where your eyes are locked on your hand.
He spoke gibberish and grabs your hand and pulls it down to his level. Jeremy rips one of his leaves off from his head which made him scream a bit in anguish. He carefully and gently wraps the leaf around your wrist and gives it a little kiss. You smiled and laughed a bit.
"Thank you, Jeremey. I needed that"
Jeremy smiled proudly and put his hands on its hips...if a Rutabaga has hips. Even when times were a pain and when he'd bother you with his operatic singing, he was still a friend who'd never leave your side. You lay back down on your back still not wanting to move because you knew that there was no way out of this hole. You immediately accepted your fate. Jeremy the Rutabaga-taur decided to take things into his own...hands. Jeremy hopped down from your gut and stood in a ninja-like pose.
Jeremy jumped higher than you ever thought he could, at least 9 feet. He bounces against the walls of the hole and got higher and higher to the top. Like Super Mario Bros. When he made it to the top he backflipped back onto the surface and gave a little bow. You were impressed by his agility and strength, you kind of wished you could do the same.
However, he immediately left you behind as he left your sight. You yelled for Jeremy, begging him to come back. Your only friend you had abandoned you like a childhood toy left to collect dust. You hung your head in disbelief but also anger and fear.
