Today was a big day for you, the herd had decided to throw you a first spell party in the underground club of the Mole-taurs. You all were packing your belongings, stuffing them in Glendale's portal tummy. You folded your sundress and swimsuit neatly as you can. You were wearing a very long yellow tee shirt that went down to your ankles. It was meant for larger centaurs but it was enough to cover you up. You stack the nicely folded dress and swimsuit and chucked them into Glendale's portal tummy.
"Nice throw, Y/N!" Said Glendale.
"Thanks, Glenny"
"Wow a first spell party, You are very lucky you know. I remember when I first had mine...didn't end well." Glendale gave an expression of having a flashback to a terrible memory but quickly shrugged it off.
"It's weird, I've been in Centaurworld for nearly a year and I never noticed I had magic." You whisked your hair to your shoulder and rubbed your hands. "Does Centaur magic take a while to you know "Appear?"
"I mean it happens when it happens I guess" Glendale got back on her four legs. That didn't answer your question but you shrugged and followed everybody out the door. As you leave you to look back at the hotel room one last time. You were gonna miss the Purr-fect Pad Hotel but you couldn't stay there forever. Zulius closed the door behind him and it made a clicking sound, it was locked for good.
You all trot down the stairs and watch as a cat-taur maid with a bunch of cleaning supplies used a master key to enter the room. You wondered where you all would be staying next. Hopefully not outside.
"You look sad" Durpleton looked down at you, "If your sad then I'm sad".
You let out a quiet puff of air from your nose, "I'm okay, I'm just going to miss staying there is all." You all stop in front of a ledge that leads down to another layer of the city. The cat-taurs looked like ants from where you were, it reminded you of when Durpleton held you 100 feet in the air.
"So what are we doing?" You asked Waterbaby
"We're waiting for our ride." Just when she said that you could see something flying in the distance. it was too big to be a bird but too small to be an asteroid. Dramatic jazz played in the background as the giant locomotive flew towards you and the herd. It was a houseboat made from wood and leaves decorated with lovely gems which brightened its messy appearance.
It hauled right in front of the herd and Waterbaby took a pair of keys and unlocked the door with a push of a button. Your jaw could've almost hit the floor at the sight of the thing. The herd gallop onto the floating vehicle, you didn't like heights but Durpleton, whom you didn't notice, tangled his little fingers around yours. You still couldn't get over how his hands were smaller than his arms. The floor felt light like it would break when you would step on it.
After 5 minutes you felt the house boat lift higher into the air. It flew past flocks of bird-taurs as it rode on the wind and clouds. When you looked down the trees below looked like a lovely canvas painted with the colors of the rainbow. It took you a bit to get used to the height and to gain balance on your feet. You've always wondered what it was like to fly instead of falling or being lifted, this was it and as the saying went you felt free as a bird.
The herd gather to look back at the wondrous Cat-taur valley as it became farther and farther away. "Next stop, the mole-taur kingdom!" Waterbaby announced. Everybody childishly waved goodbye to the valley as if someone could see them from a distance. Zulius patted you on the back which made you flinch from surprise.
"Don't worry, girl" said Zulius, "This will be fun, I'll make sure that you look perfect for your first spell party."
"Thanks, Zuli-" Zulius suddenly pulled you aside.
