She wandered through the forest

Curiosity in her wake

The sun was on her side

She was exuberant for her fate

Suddenly she was tripped

Pulled down by a force

Murmurs in her head

Whispers of remorse

There were words in her mind

They started out minuscule

Once she got weaker

They turned more cruel

The voices spoke

They taunted her

With herself

The reflection

In the mirror

Won't help her see clearer

The girl yelled at the voices

They replied with jeers

She cried and cried

Until there were no more tears

She screamed to the mountains

The piles on her plate

They loomed above her

While she never ate

Once she reached for food

Control was in her palm

She felt at ease

For soon it would be gone

The voices pulled her down

They locked onto her ankles

They threw her to the rocks

They tied her to anchors

She stay in her crevice

The darkest nook in sight

She hated the day

She hated the night

All she knew

Were the voices she couldn't fight

The voices attacked

Vicious and monsterly

They laughed as she cried

They smiled as she died

Now the girl withers

Blue bags under her eyes

The feeling of being hollow

A compulsion she cannot untie

The voices proceed

They advance their final

Deed

They show her the falseness

They dance

While they call her worthless

The girl is bone

She decays in the dark

Her heart is stopping

Her time is making its mark

The voices laugh

They grin

They revel

The girl is dead

And they are the devil.
