"You know, I thought this place would be much more entertaining..." Sungho whispered in your ear, his face very clearly showing his disappointment. You rolled your eyes and pushed him away from you.

"Let me guess? It's cause there are no hot vampire ladies walking around like you had hoped?" You asked, shooting him a look. Sungho gave you a grin that practically screamed that you were right, and Aera huffed.

"Honestly, Sungho." She grumbled, crossing her arms. "We're at the capitol, in the same room that the Elder's themselves used to hold council meetings, and all you can think about is sexy vampires?!"

"I mean, really." You sighed, shaking your head at him. "The architecture here is beautiful, hasn't even been changed since it was built. There are historical documents and decor literally hanging from these walls. Yet you're only worried about boobs?"

Sungho raised his hands in defense. "Woah!" he cried. "If I knew I was gonna be attacked then I wouldn't have come with today."

You knew that he wasn't actually offended, just as he knew that you didn't mean any genuine harm by your words. You were still a tiny bit bothered though by his attitude.

When Mrs. Baek had announced that the capitol would be opening up parts of historical buildings that hadn't been seen by the public eye, you had been ecstatic. Even though you no longer had an obsession with the Elder's, you could still feel the nerd inside of you screaming in joy.

You still had yet to see anyone of great importance, as you had mainly only run into interns, assistants and other low ranking staff. You had, however, gotten to see the original meeting room, and the last room that had been occupied by the Elder's before they had disappeared.

Your group had also been told that later on in the day, there would be a meeting being held by Cornelius Beckers, who was the country's current acting president.

To be allowed into such a meeting full of many very influential vampires of the high court, was something that you had never actually thought that you would get to experience. You hadn't been told of the topic, but had been told that it was a very big deal.

You only had a few hours to go until then, and you were bursting with excitement.

"Hey, let's go look at the paintings." Aera said to you, pulling gently on your arm. "I want to see the old portraits of Korain." She began to guide you to the wall full of aged oil paintings.

"Why Korain?" You asked, laughing. "He was Namjoon's advisor, not a Prince." You stopped in front of the wall and looked up at the less detailed painting of said man.

He looked nervous, tired, and old. While his hair was still full and dark, and his skin was still seemingly smooth, his eyes showed just how aged he was. Being the advisor to the royal family wasn't easy, it seemed.

"I think he's handsome." Aera replied, a small smile on her lips as she examined his portrait. "He may not have the aristocratic features that the royal family does, but he's still quite attractive."

"Just remember." You said, elbowing her lightly. "Not all paintings are accurate. Korain could have been completely bald, or had a horrendous beard."

Aera huffed and rolled her eyes. "And the Elder's could have been the ugliest men in the kingdom, too. Let me live a little. My life is dry right now." She grumbled.

You smiled and shook your head, your eyes falling to the portrait underneath Korain's. It was a very detailed piece, displaying Prince Jungkook. He had been the youngest one, and supposedly the first to die and come back after the poisoning.
