Chapter 11 ~ Lucas Proposal ✔️

Lucas's POV:

After Vanessa left my office, my mind went back on Ella. Will she be a good mother to my son?

I rested my back against my office chair. I took out the picture that my PI had gave me days later when Vanessa was leaving the hospital.

Vanessa coming out of the hospital with my son in her arms. I could barely see his little face. But I could tell that he was mine thanks to me. I had to find out that the little boy was mine was because I paid one of the nurses that was in charge of taking care of my little boy to do a DNA secretly and have the results email to me.

At some point I regretted the thing I did to her, but I could never forgive her for cheating on me with the jackass.

I made my way to the Jewelry store that was near my company. As I made my way inside, I could see variety of necklaces, bracelets and rings. Which I was here for. As soon as a sell vender saw me, he immediately approached me

"How can I help you, sir" he said

" I'm looking for a somewhat diamond engagement ring for my fiancée" I said looking at the display of rings that was out in front of me

"We have some that were imported from England last night. Would you like to take a look at them, sir" he said?

Nodding my head. He left to bring the engagement rings.

I never thought that I would be looking for an engagement ring in my entire life. Was I really ready to settle down?

"This ring. It's an Oval-cut 5 carat diamond engagement ring in platinum. Only two of these rings were ever made. Which we were very fortunate to have this on display" he said showing her the ring

"How about his one" I said pointing to one that

"Ahhh. This one right here is A Radiant Cut Moissanite Engagement Ring. Also known as a Hidden Halo. This here is one of a kind. The creator of this ring made with so much care and love so when the right person would buy it they'll instantly be thinking of the significant partner" he said

My mind couldn't focus on what he was saying. All I was thinking was Vanessa. This ring had her name written all over it. But I wasn't here for her. I was here for Ella. She'll soon be my wife.

Not Vanessa, I sigh

"How much"

"This one right here cost 900,000, sir" He said while place the ring back into it's proper place

"Alright. I'll get it" I said, taking out my card and handing it to him

After taking my card and left. I could stop thinking of Vanessa. Will she be happy to hear that I'll be engaged to my assistant? How will she react upon hearing the news?

I hope Ella will like it. She will soon be my future wife and the mother on my son. She'll love him as if it was hers.

But Vanessa

I don't think I can stand seeing her all sad. Just thinking of it breaks my heart. I don't know why...she's the one that betrayed me. Right before I was going to make her officially mine

I was taken out of my thought when I heard my phone go off. I looked at the caller ID to see Ella calling me

"Hello sweetheart" I said, sounding casually

"Babe where are you. I been trying to get ahold of you since the morning. Where have you been" She said, blasting me with questions

"I have a surprise for you. Be ready by 8. I'll send you my driver ti pick you" I said, not wanting her to know where am I at
