We then cut to ten years into the future, where Takagi, now the wife of Nishikata, finishes telling her daughter Chi about the night when they watched the fireworks show.
Chi: Wow, Daddy did all that for you?
Takagi: Yeah, honestly, I'm still really happy that he did all that. He is a really really sweet guy.
Chi: I'd say the best person in the whole wide world!!
Takagi: You got that right. He's the best husband I've ever had, and the best daddy you'll ever have in your life.
Chi: I know that for sure already.
Takagi: *tearing up a little* You know..... I miss all those good times we had when we were kids.
Chi: Sounds like they were a lot of fun.
Takagi: Yeah, they definitely were. Hey, if you and that one boy ever end up getting together, you should make a lot of good memories with him, just like how I did with your Daddy.
Chi: *embarrassed and blushing* Mommy, I told you me and him are not like that.
Takagi: You never know. *smug smile*
Then Nishikata finally comes home from work.
Nishikata: Hey I'm home.
Chi: DADDY!!!! *runs up to him and hugs him*
Takagi: Welcome home, and good timing too. I was just telling Chi about that time you made sure we'd see fireworks on that one summer festival.
Nishikata: Oh really?
Chi: You are the best person in the world for doing that!!!!
Nishikata: Oh, thank you.
Takagi: You really are.
Nishikata: *blushing and a little embarrassed* R-really?
Takagi: Yeah..... *tearing up and blushing a little bit* Thank you again for that amazing moment from years ago.
Nishikata: *smiles, and begins to tear up a bit too* Y-You're welcome.
