Chapter 3 - not a welcoming welcome

I stared at my room in disbelief. It was amazing!

A black and white drawing of a rainforest on one wall. A pack of wolves on the other and the other two where filled with the Prestons' names. Ethan, Corey, Mike, Chase, Blake, Jake, Jack, Lee, Joseph, Adam, Eddie, Joey, Annie and Rob, Annie's husband. It was gorgoues. I had a king sized bed with a black and white desk next to it. I had 2 bean bags and a sofa with a plasma TV. When i stepped into the closet, my jaw dropped. It was a full-walk-in-closet with more than a 100 dresses and tops. Gorgeous!

"You like it?" Corey asked.

"No." I simply shook my head. Corey looked at me in disbelief so I quickly said,"I don't like it. I love it," which made Corey smile. He looked so hot when he smiled...Stop! Concentrate!

"I'm glad you like it. If you need me, my door is royal blue" and he walked out.

I quickly started unpacking my stuff to get ready for dinner.

I put on my onezie and turned my head to see Chase peeking through my door. I smiled weakly, and he smiled back.

"Dinners ready" he said, and I nodded.

"Chase!" I shouted.

He peeked his head through my door again.

"Can youy show me where the dining room is?" I asked nervously.

He chuckled and nodded, so I followed him. I'm glad he was in his pj's too. I didn't feel left out.

When we got to the kitchen, everyone was staring at us. Damn, this was awkward. I sat down next to Blake, and looked around. The dining room was huge with lit candles and paintings on the walls.

"Hey I'm Blake and I love harribos. My favorite color is red and I'm the kindest of all my brothers" he said proudly. I couldn't help but to smile. "Hey I'm Jake and I'm Chase's twin. I like the color green and I can beat Blake at Mario cart every time we play" he announced and Blake went red. I smiled at him and turned to joey. "Hey I'm Joey and I love art and painting. I decorated your room too. I hope you like it" he said and I nodded. "Hey I'm Adam and that's my twin Eddie. We both love cod and GTA. And I'm smarter!" Eddie laughed and I joined in. "Hey I'm Chase, we already met. I love football and horses." "Hey I'm Corey we already met too. I like parties and clubs" "Hey I'm Joe and although I'm phisicvally disabled, I can talk. I love swimming and reading"

"Hey guys, I'm Ellie and I love soccer and dancing. I'm 16 and I'm going to join your school soon" I said awkwardly. Mike, who didn't introduce himself asked me,"why are you here?" Wow. I wasn't expecting that.

"Mike!" Annie snapped.

"What?! Can't I ask her a normal question? So does your family not want you? I mean, i know theyre dead, but couldn't you just live with your uncle? Or are you just too much of a pain?" He asked angrily.

"Mike!" I looked over to Corey who tried to stop mike but he carried on.

"You know, its your fault they're dead. If it weren't for you, they'd still be alive." He said calmly.

"Wh-what?" I asked.

"You know what I mean. They went out to buy you a new pair of converse. On the way back, they died. Because of you." He said.

"Excuse me" I stood up and left tears streaming down my face.

I crawled onto my bed and cried my self to sleep.
