When Miss Kay left Jungkook's room she walked back down the hall and saw a timid face peeking out from a doorway. His blond hair hung to his shoulders and his ears twitched indicating he was nervous. Behind him was an equally nervous mate holding onto his shirt.
Miss Kay smiled as she saw the pair.
"Felix, are you okay?" she asked the gentle koala who was standing in front.
"Am I in trouble?" he asked. His mate whined behind him.
"Why would you be in trouble?" Miss Kay asked him softly.
"I hurt his feelings today. I couldn't eat lunch with him." Felix hung his head. He was so overwhelmed with his new mate group but didn't like that he had hurt another.
Miss Kay smiled at the young man, "No hun, you aren't in trouble. It was just bad timing for everyone. But..if you and your mates could remember to be kind to our newest members of the house, I would appreciate it." she patted his shoulder, smiled gently at the hybrid behind him and then continued walking down the hall.
Felix watched her turn around a corner and then he looked down the hall at the panther who was cleaning up his destroyed room. The young panther was tall and had a tattoo sleeve and several piercings in his ears. He sported a lip ring and it was rumored he had other body piercings. The rumors also said that he was a street fighter and that he never lost. He tended to stalk around as if daring anyone to mess with him since his arrival and that had made many of the other hybrids nervous. He looked young and dangerous. Never a good combination they said.
Felix had other opinions. The panther looked more lost than dangerous. "We should go help," he says.
"He shouldn't have tried to join us," the ferret behind him said, pouting.
"Hyunjin, be nice." A third hybrid came up behind them. His hands laid on each mate's shoulder as he regarded the hybrid down the hall picking up the pieces of his room.
"You want to help?" he asked the koala, who nodded enthusiastically.
"Well, we were unnecessarily harsh so we should apologize," The wolf then pushed his two younger mates toward the room. The three of them approached the room.
"Do you need any help?" Felix asked. Jungkook was startled and looked at the three hybrids standing before his door. He took a deep breath and regarded the trio. He felt resentment flare in his chest. These three were responsible for setting off his bad mood, but he couldn't really blame them since he chose to destroy his own room.
"I guess," Jungkook said as he pushed another pile of debris into the center of the room.
"Did anything survive?" the wolf asked.
Jungkook just shook his head, "Um, no." he felt ashamed having these three see him so low. What would they think of him now?
"We're sorry," Felix said before he started helping. This made Jungkook look up in surprise.
"That's Felix, I'm Bang Chan, and the skinny one is Hyunjin," the wolf introduced the trio, pointing out each member of his group.
"I know," Jungkook said. He was aware of the trio, but he was trying to be indifferent to them since they brushed him off so harshly at lunch. Why were they there now? Did they want to rub it in that he was alone? Felix has said he was sorry, did they mean that?
"Well, we wanted to apologize for being rude earlier. We'll help you get this cleaned up so you can get new stuff." Bang Chan said as they started to clear debris from the edges of the room.
