Worried Mates

The day was sunny, and the lush, green trees of the park provided cool shade for the hybrids. Bang Chan observed his surroundings as his two mates played a game of chase. He couldn't help but laugh at their silliness. Only when they were alone did Hyunjin allow himself to relax this way. Bang Chan loved his pack, and his alpha instincts felt soothed when they were happy.

Across the park, he noticed Jungkook sitting with a human, having an animated discussion. This must be the lawyer who was helping him find their lost mate. This was a hybrid's worst fear. A mate was being held against their will by someone who may not respect the life in their hands.

He was pulled from his thoughts when Felix ran up and dragged him into their game of chase. Laughing, he gave chase, and soon, any gloomy thoughts were lost in the happiness of his mates.

Their happy moment was interrupted by a cry that jerked the three hybrids to a standstill.

"Please, no. Don't make me.." the cry was cut off by an angry shout.

"Get back here, you worthless animal," the nasty voice yelled. An itch crawled up Bang Chan's spine, and the three hybrids started looking for the source of the cries.

"Noooo...Don't hurt me!" cries could be heard, and they started searching among the copse of trees.

"I paid good money for you, you worthless bunny—Now you'll do as you're told!" The angry words sparked more cries of pain. The three hybrids were joined by Jungkook and Namjoon when a scream tore through the trees.

Bang Chan finally zeroed in on the location of the hurt hybrid and took off running. The others followed, and horror awaited them when they broke through the trees. They found a naked hybrid lying on the ground with knife wounds all over his back and legs. The hybrid struggled weakly against the human, slashing him with a long knife.

Bang Chan rushed the human and pushed him off the hurt hybrid, slamming him into the trees. Felix, Hyunjin, and Jungkook rushed over to the hurt hybrid. Grabbing the ripped and discarded clothes spread on the ground, they tried to stop the bleeding.

The angry wolf held the worthless piece of trash to a tree, the knife lying on the ground. Namjoon pulled his phone out and called the number for hybrid emergency services, then stopped Bang Chan from attacking the angry human.

Pulling the angry wolf off him, Namjoon cautioned, "Don't hurt him; that will get you in trouble. Let me handle him." Bang Chan looked at Namjoon, fury written on his face, nodded, and let go, rushing to the hurt hybrid.

"He's losing a lot of blood," Jungkook said. Felix and Hyunjin had stricken looks on their faces while tears ran down them. They were trying to control the bleeding, but there were just so many wounds.

Bang Chan felt his heart burst in the telltale sign that this Rabbit belonged to him. There was no way they were losing a mate now. He leaned in and whispered to the young hybrid, "We found you. We will keep you safe now." Pain-filled eyes looked at him briefly before the pain caused him to pass out.

A grunt and sounds of punching made them look up to see Namjoon taking control of the wretched human who had hurt their mate. "Stay down, you miserable curr." Namjoon's suit hid strength that none of the hybrids had known he had. He punched him till he didn't move.

The sirens sounded. "Jungkook, lead the medics here," Namjoon said. The panther nodded and took off to get them. Soon, the cops and medics arrived. The miserable excuse for a human was handed over to the police. At the same time, Namjoon gave a statement, and the medics took over helping the hurt Rabbit.

The cuts were dealt with, but the loss of blood made everything more urgent that they get the poor hybrid to the hospital. They loaded the Rabbit into the ambulance, and Bang Chan and his mates tried to follow.
