Chapter 4

Demi's POV

There's so much to Ever than what meets the eye. Even then, there's just so much that probably no one will ever know about her. She's so sweet and different, but in a good way. She's also so broken. I could tell as I try to get her to open up about herself. I'll have to take this more slowly with her. But damn do I just wanna know everything about her. I never felt this need so strong to get to know someone. I don't know what this is but I wanna find out. I can feel like she's going to be important in my life and I haven't even known her 24 hours.

We sit and watch TV but my mind isn't really focused on it. I'm thinking about Ever and maybe even stealing glances over at her without her knowing. It's cute how Batman and Ella are cuddled up with her sleeping. I'm a little jealous of them. I wanna be able to get close to her.

"Hey Ever?" I say.

"Yeah?" she responds.

"What's your favorite color?" I ask.

"Orange, purple, black, grey. I usually wear a lot of black and grey t-shirts. My favorite holiday is Halloween so my favorite colors theme with the holiday" she says smiling.

"Favorite animal?" I ask.

"Wolf since I love werewolf books way more than vamp books. I think it would be cool to be able to shift into a wolf. But I also really love gorillas and monkeys. Always wanted a pet chimpanzee since I was little since having a gorilla would have been harder to take care of" she states.

I laugh loudly at her response. She's just too adorable. Ever then laughs with me probably because of my laugh. I like hearing her laugh. I like it even more that I was the one that made her laugh.

"What's a place you've always wanted to go to?" I ask after we calmed down.

"That's a hard one. There's so many places and things I want to see. I really really love museums. I've been to two small ones, but I wanna see them all. I always wanted to travel and see the world but that'll be in another lifetime" she says.

"Why do you say that?" I ask her frowning.

"I'll never be able to really travel. Maybe to some states here and there but that'll probably be it. Shit like that costs some serious money which I dont have. Hell, I've been living here for two years and I still have so much to see in just L.A. alone" she responds.

I nod my head understanding that. Maybe I could take her to some places that she wants to go to. Maybe when I do go back on tour, she can come with me. She'll be able to see so much if she comes with me. I'll have to talk to her about it when I eventually prep for tour dates.

"Where are you from?" I ask her since she said shes only been here for two years.

"New York. I've never been to the west coast till I moved here" she said.

"Favorite movie" I ask.

"I can't give you an answer. I like Black Widow and the Black Panther movies. I'm a marvel girl but there's other movies I like to. Hard to decide. But Scream is my favorite horror movie" she says.

"What's your favorite concert youve been to?" I ask. Ever looks down and pets a sleeping, Batman.

"I've actually never been to a concert before" she whispers.

"What" I shout, startling the dogs awake. Ever jumps slightly with a sheepish look on her face.

"I had a feeling youd react like that. Yeah, I havent been to one but I want to. But I'm also worried that I wont be able to handle it. I've seen YouTube videos of some concerts and theres a lot of people and I dont know if I'll be able to handle the crowds and the yelling. I always said that I wanted my first concert to be yours" she says. Is it bad that Im grinning like the Cheshire cat? She wants her first concert to be mine!
