Yoooo I'm back! So- I am currently working on that re-wright of "Blinded" but I won't be posting any of the chapters until this book's done. This is simply because I don't wanna stress myself out to much with trying to update 2 stories at once lol.

Also- Yes. I am very aware that Karl would be much more likely to be a flower boy. But, however, do I care? Nope! Flower boy Q it is! 💙

Karl was sitting with his friends on the bleachers outside of the school. Everyone was pumping Karl up for what was to come. You see, Karl has had a crush on someone for quite a while now, 2 years to be exact. And finally got the courage to ask them out.

So here he was, surrounded by his friends Bad, George, Sapnap, Dream and Skeppy, all of which were going to make sure he didn't back out last minute like the other 7 attempts.

They were waiting for the girls soccer team to finish practice as his crush, Rory Edison, agreed to meet him after. Rory, although identifying as Non-binary, had to join the girls soccer team due to them being female at birth. It was weird.

Karl was picking at the purple nail polish on his nails when the coach blew her whistle, signaling the end of practice. Karl gulped, trying to steady his breathing.

His best friend Sapnap turned to him, "You got this Karl!" He gave him 2 thumbs up. Karl gave him a simple appreciating smile, and stood up. Draping his bag over his shoulder, he set off down the middle row of stairs, his heavy steps making the entire bleachers shake.

He heard his friends shouting words of encouragement his way, it made him smile, knowing that they had his back if it didn't go as planned. He saw the girls and Rory make their way off the field and onto the sides, where they grabbed their bags and started leaving.

Karl stopped by the exit gate right in front of the bleachers his friends were on. Karl saw Rory coming with their best friend Lydia.

He took a deep breath, and pushed his social anxiety to the back of his head, not wanting the fact that he has to gain the attention of not one, but two people to stop him.

He steadied his breathing once more, and made his move. "Hey Rory!" He called out. He had successfully gained the attention of the 2 friends. Rory perked up at hearing their name called. They looked around for a moment before their eyes settled on Karl.

They smiled and excused themselves. Walking over to him, Rory waved their hand in a small greeting. Karl returned the gesture as he walked up to them, meeting them halfway.

Lydia had gone off to talk to Harmony, another girl on the soccer team. The 2 girls seemed to be talking about Karl and Rory as they kept looking at them and whispering, and trying, yet failing, to hide their giggles.

Rory rolled their eyes at their friends. "Don't mind them Karl," they reassured him. They had a faint smile on their lips as they looked up to meet Karl's eyes. Rory's dark skin glinted in the afternoon sun, turning it a kind of golden color. Their black hair, that they always made sure to keep short and off of their neck, was glittery, and damp at the ends from sweat. Karls heart fluttered.

"So? What'd you need?" Rory asked Karl after a moment of just staring at each other. Karl blinked a couple of times, trying to gather his thoughts together. After a moment he cleared his throat and spoke, "Well- um-" Karl mentally cursed himself out for all the stuttering.

"I was- ah,..Wondering if you'd like to- um-?" He took a deep a breath and tried to relax. "Would you, maybe wanna, um- go on a- on a date? With. . . Me-?"
He gave them an awkward, lop sided smile.

Karl could feel his cheeks burning as he played with the bottom of his blue hoodie. Rory gave him a small smile, and nodded, much to his surprise. "Yeah! Yeah sure!" They said.

Karl's mental celebration was cut short when 2 very loud and high pitched squeals came from behind Rory, and a loud eruption of cheers came from behind Karl. They both jumped at the sudden noise before laughing it off.

Rory and Karl exchanged phone numbers and agreed on Saturday at 1:30. As Rory gave him a smile and turned to leave, Karl couldn't hide the giant smile that plastered itself on his face.

He turned around and returned to his own friends. The moment he got back up to his seat he slapped very hardly on the back followed by a string of compliments and congratulations from his friends.

Karl was happy to have everyone on his side. And was even happier with the fact that Rory had actually said yes. So far, so good.

A/N: pog pog pog pog- I am so happy with this idea- like actually. I am not able to put into words the accomplished feeling I got when I finished this chapter. Though it hurt to right Karl's stuttering scene so that was kinda eh- but I am so so so so so happy with how this came out! Maybe drop a vote to motivate me?

Also- yes. Rory is non-binary. So they go by They/Them Pronouns typically and will sometimes use He/Him Pronouns if necessary.
