Karl was ecstatic. He didnt care that he got weird looks while walking down the street. He didn't care that some people would walk past him and shout a slur. All he cared about was the fact that this was actually happening. Karl actually had a date with Rory, and he was going to let nothing ruin it.
He continued his way down the road, eventually coming to the corner where the floral shop was located. The outside was beautiful. Flower pots and seemingly randomly planted flowers grew in gardens outside the large circular windows. The sign hanging above the door read:
★"Birds Valley"★
☆Where Life Blooms☆Karl smiled at the cheesey saying, yet admiring the small flower doodles that surrounded the words. Karl took a deep breath, and without wasting another minute, crossed the street and opened the door.
A small bell chimed, signaling his entrance, and making a small ravenette at the counter look up from his book. Karl glanced around the shop, taking in its details within seconds. The interior was just as cute as the exterior. Shelves lined the walls, each filled with a different variety of flowers. Each wall seemed to be given a different emotional theme; a small sign mounted on the wall above each one. One sign read: ☆Happy/Positive☆
Another read: ★Sad/Emotional★
And so on and so forth."Hi! How can I help you?" The boy behind the counter successfully grabbed Karl's attention. Karl turned his head away from the walls, turning to the back of the shop where a small ravenette stood, elbow propped on the counter and head resting on his palm.
Karl's breath hitched, and he could feel the light blush creeping up his neck and to his cheeks. The boy was pretty, prettier than any guy should have the right to. Silky black hair hung over his forehead, tucked away into a dark blue beanie on his head. His skin was a soft porcelain tan and he had on a similar dark blue nail polish to that of his beanie.
Karl shook himself from his thoughts and tore his gaze away. "Just need some flowers," he answered the pretty flower boy. The flower boy chuckled. "I can help with that." He said, walking out from behind the counter, talking all the while.
"What's the occasion?" The flower boy asked. Karl once again tore his gaze away from the small boy, rubbing the back of his neck. "Just a first date.." he mumbled, his social awkwardness kicking in.
The flower boy chuckled and stopped at a wall that read: ♡Love/Friendships♡
"Well, let me recommend a simple bouquet of Red roses. Simple and cliche yes, but they do the trick." The boy stated as he reached up to the 7th shelf up. Even on his tippy toes, the flower boy couldn't reach the shelf. He fell back to ground level with a frustrated huff. This time Karl chuckled. He walked up behind the flower boy and reached the shelf, grabbing the already bundled up roses. The flower boy looked up at him and gave Karl an overly adorable lopsided smile before walking back to the counter.
Karl followed behind the smaller boy. Karl had only then realized he was almost a foot taller than the flower boy. It only made him cuter. Karl stopped at the front of the counter and zoned out while the pretty boy talked about some random topic.
Karl stared at the flower boys seemingly soft skin. Karl wanted to engulf the boy in a massive hug and- wait what? Karl slightly shook his head. What the hell was that? Why was he thinking of a random kid he'd met like that? His conclusion: he was originally thinking of Rory and then the flower boy slipped into his thoughts because he's right infront of him.
Speaking of the flower boy, Karl was shaken from his thoughts when flower boy asked him a question. "What-?" Karl asked, he gave the boy an apologetic smile, "Sorry- I zoned out. What'd you say?" Karl asked honestly.
The flower boy chuckled and shook his head, handing the Karl his bouquet. "Just wandering where you got that hoodie," flower boy informed. Karl thought about it, not really removing for a moment. "Oh! I had it custom-made on an app!" Karl informed. The boys eyes lit up.
"Really? That sounds so cool!" Karl smiled at his reaction. "What's the name of the app?" Karl told him the name. "Oh~ that sounds super cool! I could probably get a cropped hoodie of my own!" The flower boy exclaimed.
Suddenly, a picture of the ravenette in a cropped hoodie produced itself in Karl's head. He could feel the burn of the blush that threatened to give away his thoughts. He shook his head and focused on what the boy infront of him was talking about.
They continued talking for a bit, until someone else called for the flower boys attention. Karl was getting ready to leave, he had spent maybe 1 hour talking to the boy, and didn't want to waste anymore time. It was already 12:30.
But before he could leave the boy grabbed his arm. "Uh- so I never got your name?" He tilted his head. Karl took a moment to process his words. "Oh! It's Karl!" He happily informed.
The boy chuckled and let go. "Nice, I'm Alex but I go by Quackity." Karl nodded his head and patted the boy on the beanie. "Well I better get going now, bye Quackity it was nice meeting you!" He yelled as he opened the door. Karl beard a fai t "goodbye" from behind him and smiled to himself. Next stop: Rorys house.

A/N: I'm alive! I'm not dead! So, I finally got around to introducing Quackity into the story. I already have a kind of "plan" on how to fit him into the rest of plot other than him being Karl's future boyfriend lol. Love you guys! Hope you enjoyed <3
