- THE THUMBSCREW -
"YUZUHA, GO and do your make-up first. I'll help Hina," you offered when you saw Yuzuha still in her robe and with messy hair. She was too busy helping you and Takashi's little sisters dress up that she forgot about herself.
Yuzuha smiled and quickly went to the comfort room to change her dress. "I'll leave her to you then, Y/N-chan!" You giggled and nodded.
You turned to see Hina waiting for you to help her. You looked at her with admiration and sighed. I got lucky.
Suddenly, having Bonten call on you the day before her wedding really made you panic. You thought that you were going to be busy and wouldn't be able to attend their wedding anymore. But the universe really said that luck was head over heels for you. Right after you finished your task, Bonten only asked you a few seconds before finally letting you go. Of course, you also let them know that you were going to be busy today, so they wouldn't call you.
You have the guts and audacity to be able to do that, huh? Last time we checked, you were just a secretary.
"Uhh, Why are you looking at me like that? Gentlemen? " You called their attention because ever since you arrived, all you got was their judgmental and sharp gazes that could probably kill if that was a weapon.
Takeomi was the first to break the deafening silence by cracking his fingers.
All of you agreed to meet in a secluded place to talk about your task. You were confused as to why they chose a place like this when you could've met with them at the bar.
But these men could not just wait; they wanted to ask you questions. They don't even know what to ask, but they just know that they need to know something.
"What kind of cheap magic was that?" When Rindou questioned you, he was looking at you up and down, as if what you just did was disappointing.
You raise your eyebrows, "It's not magic."
"Then what the fuck was that? Where did that sticker come from? And how the fuck did you make them believe that it was a real logo? We don't even put logos," he argued. He really is the impatient one here in Bonten.
You wrinkled your nose at his tone, expressing to yourself that you did not like the tone that he used on you.
But that's all that you could do. After all, you're a powerless secretary.
You answered, "It's easy to fool someone who's in a state of panic." You answered, not wanting to have any arguments with him anymore.
Ran chuckled at your response, his low and raspy voice echoing through the secluded place, even though it was an open space.
"C'mon guys, just admit it, that she did well for her trial. And you all know what that means," he said in a playful manner, slowly making his way towards you.
He then put his arms around your neck and pulled you closer to him. Never in your whole life did you think that a 28-year-old man who's part of a criminal organization could smell this attractive. "Sly bunny" leaned closer to your ear.
You don't know where he got that nickname, but you did not complain. You ignored him and continued to look at the other members.
Koko had his unreadable smirk as usual. "I have no complaints about her being an official secretary," he announced.
Sanzu clicked his tongue and smiled cheekily. He's actually quite adorable when he's smiling. "No complaints too"
The others did not answer and just nodded their heads, a sign that they're accepting you. Of course, Rindou just tsk-ed his way out of the conversation.
