{Xiao's POV}
It's now Monday morning and I'm in the car with Dad and Papa on our way to school. It's currently only 7am but since they are teachers they have to be in earlier to set up. Luckily I have history first with Dad so that will be fine. I can hang around in the classroom till the bell goes. "So are you and Aether going to tell people about your relationship?" Papa asks as he turns to me, his blue eyes reflecting the sunlight. I turn my head round to him and answer with a slight blush on my face.
"Aether isn't ready to come out to everyone so we are keeping it private right now. With only telling a few people. You, dad and Lumine being the only ones so far." He nods and smiles before turning back around and leaning over to whisper something in dad's ear. A small chuckle escapes both of their mouths which leaves me in pure confusion. I feel like I missed something. A few minutes later we pull into the school parking lot and I grab my bag before hoping out the car. I close the door and look up to see Papa giving Dad a kiss on the cheek.
"I better go check what classes I'm covering today," he says before giving dad a final kiss on the lips. I smile slightly. When I was first adopted I became quite attacked to Zhongli and was calling him dad within a few days but with Tartaglia I was skeptical. It was his first time looking after a child so he didn't really know what he was doing. It took around a week before I started getting comfortable around him. Right enough being almost three and entering a new home can be scary. He walks away and me and dad begin to walk into the building.
"So what did you two get up to over the weekend?" He says with a smirk and a cocked eyebrow.
"Dad!" I say and hit him across the shoulder, earning a laugh from him. "We've only been dating for 3 days!"
"I'm only messing with you Xiao," he replied letting out a final chuckle. I huff and cross my arms as he ruffles my hair before entering the building. I enter behind him and can't help but smile thinking about the fact that Aether is my boyfriend. If people know it or not, he's my boyfriend. "I have to go print off some things for 3rd period class you can go up to the class if you want?" He says while holding his keys out in front of me. I nod and take them before making my way down the hall and to the history department. I pass a few teachers who are just coming into school until I finally reach the classroom.
"Boo!" A soft voice calls from behind me as a pair of arms wrap around my waist. I turn my head slightly to see Aether smiling at me and I can't help but smile back. "Did I scare ya?" I chuckle before giving him a quick kiss on the cheek.
"Not quite, better luck next time." I reply and he pouts. I unlock the door and push it open before turning and picking him up. This earns a squeal from him as he wraps his legs around my waist and his arms around my neck. I laugh slightly at his actions and turn walking into the classroom with him and closing the door as we do.
{Aether's POV}
As they carry me into the classroom we eventually reach their seat and we sit down with me in their lap. I smile and giggle a little before resting my head on their shoulder. Their head rests on top of mine and we sit in a comfortable silence for a while. The silence is eventually broken when they ask, "why are you here so early anyways?" I pour slightly.
"I just wanted to see you," I reply and they chuckle a bit. A large grin grows on my face. "Plus we wouldn't be able to do this at all today," I say.
"Do wha-" but before they can reply I shot your to face them and cut them off with a kiss. I'm an instant their hands find their place on my hips as mine are placed on their shoulders. Our lips are connected in a sweet and soft kiss before we pull away for air. "Okay ye, I guess we won't get to do that much today." They said with a sigh. All of a sudden I'm lifted off their lap and placed on the table in front of them.
