Chapter III

I approached Milos at his locker after class ended to ask him if he wanted to hang out today.

Three of his friends were with him and one of them, Bene, turned to look at me, "sorry sweetheart, we've got plans today," looking me up and down, he gave me a smirk before approaching closer "but you and I should definitely go out some time."

He leaned one arm against the lockers as he rested a bit, looking at me, fully expecting a response.

I raised my eyebrow and smiled up at him before clearing my throat, "I, uh, um," what the hell? What do I even say? I mean, there's no reason not to say yes, but-

"Yo bro, drop it," Milos cut in and stopped my train of thoughts. Bene arched a brow, causing it to hide under his curly blonde locks, "you got dibs?" he asked, looking back at Milos.

Milos rolled his eyes and shook his head, rubbing the back of his neck, "no man but she's a really close friend, don't wanna see her get hurt."

Gardian piped in, nudging Milos' shoulder "come on Milos, loosen up a bit, you know Bene wouldn't do nothin'."

Milos grit his teeth together, causing his jaw to clench, "whatever, man. It's up to her anyway."
He rolled his eyes, shut his locker and walked away without even looking at me.

The guys followed after him, except for Bene who stayed with me.

"What the hell's up with him?" Bene said, looking at them walking away before shaking his head and turning back towards me,
"I'm sorry if I was too forward but I really would like to take you out sometime, if that's something you might be interested in."

He smiled sweetly and took a short step back, giving me my space.

Looking at him, my smile widened but I shook my head, "You seem sweet, Bene and I'm sure we're going to be great friends. But just friends."

He chuckled and nodded, "aight, that's cool, I saw how you were looking at my boy when he walked away." I blushed at his words and chuckled awkwardly, biting my lower lip, "I, uh, what?"

He laughed and winked at me, "see you around, Y/N."

As he walked away, Emily and Melissa came up to me, Meli squealed out, "was that Bene!? Ugh, he's so hot!" "Are ya'll going out?" Em piped up, raising her eyebrow in question.

I shook my head, "no, he asked, but I said no."
Melissa's jaw dropped, "what!? Why would you say no!?"
"Isn't it obvious, Mel? Y/N is swooning over someone else," Emily wiggled her brows at Melissa in suggestion and Mel's delayed look of realization was way too funny, causing us all to laugh as we walked out of school and started heading home.

Milos' POV

I was so annoyed at Bene.
I know it's not his fault but still.
I like her and was taking it slow but he just swoops in and she probably said yes after I left.
Whatever.
If I got over Becky, I'll get over her too. It'll be shit to listen to their relationship talk though.

I let out an exasperated sigh as the boys and I sat in my car, waiting for Bene to catch up.

Shortly after, he did. Yusuf wolf called and punched Bene's shoulder slightly as he sat down in the back next to him, "you tiger, leave some for the rest of us." Bene laughed, shaking his head, "nah bro, not this time. She just wants to be friends."

My ears perked up and I looked in the review mirror to find him already looking at me and he winked. I couldn't help the smirk that tugged on my lips slightly. Turning the car keys and starting the ignition, I drove us back to my place.

Later that night we went to a party and I really didn't expect to see her there.
Granted it's been a month and a half since she's been here but she didn't seem much of a party type.

I bit my lip as my eyes landed on her, trailing down her curvy figure.
Man, any guy would be lucky to have her. This was the first time I'm seeing her dress to impress and boy... is she making an impression on me.

I licked my lips before nodding to my boys in a gesture that I'll catch them later and started making my way towards her, observing her partially naked back.
Oh boy.
