Friends to Lovers

Chapter VII

Throughout the whole day we were the talk of the school. The new girl with Milos. Mostly just gossip as people realized there was something going on between us. And then there was Rebecca. I swear that girl just about exploded as she walked up to Milos' locker and saw him kissing me, she literally shrieked, "what the hell are you doing?" We both pulled away to look at her, she was looking straight at Milos.

I rolled my eyes. Milos turned around to face her and I wrapped my arms around his torso, resting my cheek on his back, letting him deal with this cause I've had enough drama for one day.

"What's up, Becky?" Milos sighed, crossing his arms over mine. "What are you doing with her?" she spat, annoyed and her tone gave out the hurt she felt. That sucks, I don't hate the girl but come on, they've been over for so long, he told her he's moved on and she just keeps pushing.

"She's my girlfriend, Rebecca. Address her with respect." Milos replied and my eyes widened as I lifted my head up, looking at the back of his head in shock and he felt it.

He unwrapped my arms from around him and turned slightly to place an arm over my shoulder, looking down into my eyes as he stood by my side now, making sure I was comfortable with what he said. I smiled widely as I blushed and wrapped an arm around his waist, giving him a side hug to reassure him. He smiled, chuckled quietly and kissed the top of my head.

"What a shame, baby, what. a. shame," we turned to Rebecca as she spoke, "could've been with me instead of what's her fucking name," she continued, smirking my way before walking up close to Milos and placing her hand on his cheek. Is she stupid? I'm right there and he just told her we're together. What's wrong with this girl?

He quickly pushed her hand away, his jaw clenching, "don't touch me." His tone was cold as were his eyes as he looked her up and down. He led me away from her, turning my way, "come on baby, let's go." We left her standing there, fuming as we headed towards our next class.

Milos checked his phone in class as he sat next to me, texting his friends and snickering every once in a while. I shook my head, smiling. He rarely paid attention in class, I don't know how he managed his good grades.

As he was checking tiktok and writing down some new ideas in his notes to use for later, the teacher asked him a question but he didn't hear him.

"Guzel!" he snapped his head up at him to find him very annoyed, "you are worthless! Every lesson with you is the same! Maybe if you just paid more attention!"

My eyes widened as I stared at the teacher then looked at Milos, he was gritting his jaw as he shot daggers at the teacher, clenching his fist in front of his lips to keep himself from yelling at him. He gritted his teeth as he went to get up and I grabbed his hand, stopping him and interlocking our fingers, giving him a reassuring squeeze, not wanting him to do something that could get him into more trouble.

He parted his lips as his eyes flew to our hands before locking on mine, he gave me a slight side smile as he relaxed a bit. "Get out of my class. Now." He looked back at the teacher, clenched his jaw again, "yes sir." He spoke as he looked down before redirecting his eyes back at me and smiling as he gazed at our hands, running his thumb on the top of my hand gently before getting up to leave.

As he passed the teacher I could tell he was trying his hardest to keep as far away from him as possible, not wanting to lunge at him. That was very disrespectful. I shook my head, glaring at the teacher as Milos slammed the door behind him.

"Do you have a problem, Miss Music?"

I rolled my eyes at him and slumped back in my chair, crossing my arms across my chest and shaking my head no.

A moment later my phone buzzed with a text from Milos, "don't get in trouble." I chuckled quietly to myself and shook my head, locking my phone.

Resting an elbow on the table, I leaned my chin into the palm of my hand and zoned out for the rest of the class, my mind wandering.
