Pansy First Person POV

Well, this morning was certainly a welcome change of pace. Now I have a new friend apparently. But what brought on this change? Draco certainly seemed to know. After all, wasn't that girl was his crush?

"Draco, what did you do to that Hufflepuff girl?" I said.

Though it did feel a bit wrong to talk about Raya behind her back calling her 'Hufflepuff girl'. "Why did she suddenly decide to become friends with us?"

"Firstly, her name's Raya. Don't act like she's just a random person." Draco stated, "Secondly, I didn't do anything to her."

I stared at him in disbelief. Theo also looked at him strangely. There's no way in heck a girl like her would just randomly come up to us, the scariest Slytherins in our year.

"Well, I didn't like imperious her or anything. I may or may not have had an emotional breakdown in the library at like one in the morning." Draco admitted.

"Oh, Draco, why didn't you say anything?" I knew he didn't like us to see him cry, but we're his friends. He has to know that, right? Theo and I put a comforting hand on his shoulder.

"It's ok," He said, "Somebody else was there to comfort me. And I may or may not have admitted to us not being exactly happy with the roles that we play."

I was angry at him for not being able to control himself, but I was also strangely grateful. Because of that one conversation, I now had a new friend. She wouldn't betray me or talk about me behind my back, or steal my crushes.

Raya seemed to be a genuinely good person, and a persistent one at that. I had a horrible thought at that moment. What if our parents use her against us? What if people pick on her for being friends with us?

She seemed too loyal now. She wouldn't leave us, and it may be selfish, but I didn't want to lose her newfound friendship.

"Draco, what if...?" Theo couldn't bring himself to say it out loud, I couldn't either.

"I know, you guys." Draco said, "That's why I was kinda hoping she would be deterred by our surly personalities, but that didn't work. We'll protect her."

"Hell yeah we will!" Theo's hair was turning burgundy as he said, "She's one of us now."

"Theo!" I hissed quietly, "Your hair."

"Shit," Theo said, "Is it back to normal now?"

"Yeah, you're good, Teddy Bear." Draco said with a smirk.

"Oi, shut it, Drakey." I said.

"You're one to talk, miss 'Queen of Sass'," he said smugly.

"At least my nickname is cool, unlike you losers." I said, but I couldn't help but smile. God, Raya was already changing us. Class began and I couldn't help but be excited for Potions.
