five.

(i literally forgot all about this i'm so sorry lmaooo it's been 2 years since i've touched wattpad and i feel so bad for ditching ! i never had an actual plan for this story neither did i have much motivation but i wanna try again after reading the comments & realizing ya'll have been waiting for me to update it:) i can't promise i'll continue to update, but i wanna write another chapter as an apology !! )

the week was coming to an end, and tendou had asked you after class ended on your thoughts about hanging out over the weekend. you obviously replied with a yes, seeing as you didn't have any other plans besides sleeping all day. the two of you agreed on hanging out at the nearby park & going out for lunch. soon enough, the week was over and you were hurriedly getting ready because you slept through your alarm. grabbing your phone, you sent him an "omw" text before you shoved it into your hoodie and stepped outside, making sure to lock the door behind you. the weather felt alright, though it was quite windy & you could see storm clouds gathered in the distance. you fast-walked to your destination, a little upset with yourself for sleeping in. lost in your thoughts, you jumped to a hand on your shoulder.

"damn, i didn't think it'd be that easy to scare you" tendou smirked, ruffling your hair as if it hadn't already looked messy from the wind picking up. you lightly smacked his hand away before attempting to tame the strands of hair that kept blowing into your face. "shut it redhead" you replied, pulling your hood over your head. he looked down at you, acting as if he was offended. you spent a few hours at the park, walking around the huge lake and talking about whatever was on your minds, until lightning began to strike with loud rumbles of thunder following shortly after. tendou spoke up, after a droplet of water landed on his nose. "sooooo, we probably should've looked at how the weather would be before agreeing on the park. how about we go to that one restaurant i told you about, yea?" he said, pulling your hood down to mess with your hair again. swatting at his hand, you remarked "we? you mean you?? but yea, i'm down". (i'm so bad at dialogue please excuse me) "pffft, it was obviously your decision, not mine!" he replied sarcastically, grabbing your arm to pull you along.

the two of you made it to the restaurant in time as the sky had darkened and rain began to fall. the waitress sat you guys down right next to the window, a perfect view of the pouring rain outside. she sat down two menus on the table, before saying she'd be back soon to take your orders. looking down at the menu, you decided on something simple but good. "what are you getting?" you said to the boy across from you, picking up your menu and whacking him with it to get his attention. tendou pointed at the burger on the front cover of his menu, before taking your menu out of your hands as you were still smacking him with it, and in return he did the same to you. "hey! who said you could do that, huh?" you giggled, putting your arms up to block his attacks. "i did, duuuh" he replied with a laugh.

soon your waitress returned, a small notepad in hand as she wrote down your orders. and not much long after, she was back with your food. as the two of you were eating, you looked up to notice tendou smiling at you, as if he had something in mind. "hmm? what's that smile for?" you questioned him, with a mouthful of (your choice lol!) "mmm nothing, i just think you look really pretty." he replied, taking a bite out of his burger. almost choking on your food a little, you turned your head towards the window to hide your slightly reddened face. shaking your head with a laugh, you replied with a small "thank you." you made it very obvious that he caught you off guard, and he didn't leave you alone about it for the rest of the day.

a milkshake in hand, you looked up at the sky which had gone from a dull gray, to a gorgeous shade of orange & yellow-ish color as the sun was starting to set. tendou had offered to walk you home, after taking a sip from a chocolate shake of his own. you were a bit sad that the day was already over, but you knew the two of you would be hanging out again tomorrow, hopefully the weather a lot less stormy this time. the walk to your house wasn't long at all, and before you knew it you were standing at the end of your driveway. tendou pulled you into a hug, resting his chin on your head. you smiled into his hoodie, before he finally let you go. the both of you exchanged goodnights, and as you made your way inside, he waited till he heard your door close before heading home.
