Dream POV

"So SapNap why did you actually go to your locker? Because I know for a fact it wasn't for your pencil case."

"Dream I really don't want to talk about this you already know why I went you just want to hear me say it."

"SapNap was it for the notes?"

SapNap nods his head slowly as he keeps his eyes glued to the floor.

"SapNap why do you keep writing letters to this guy? He's not worth it you don't even know what he looks like."

"I do know dream!" SapNap says quietly yelling at his friend so that the whole cafeteria doesn't hear.

"If you know what he looks like then talk to him why is your whole friendship just written on pieces of paper that probably get scrunched up at the bottom of your backpacks?"

"Because I like him dream! I like this guy maybe not just as a friend I haven't figured that out yet."

"Whatever SapNap you're the one setting yourself up to get hurt."

Karl POV

Lunch my favourite time of day. I head to my locker before I head to the cafeteria to find Quackity.

When I get to my locker I put in my combination and open the door. I see a paper sitting on the floor of my locker I pick it up and open it. I see the messy writing that I love so much and read what it says.

Hi Karl,
My name is Nick but everyone calls me SapNap.
My favourite colour is Red or orange.
On the topic of nicknames and considering
It's my turn to ask you a question do you have a
nickname that you like to be called?

He wants to call me by something other than my name?! I thought about it and I really only have one nickname and it's kind of reserved for Quackity to use only. I get out a piece of paper and start writing my letter.

Well I do but only my best friend uses it.
If you have an idea in mind for one
That you want to use you can.
And is there any other nick name you have
Besides SapNap that you want me to use?
My turn again for a question how old are you?
I know you're in my grade but are you 15 or 16?

After I finished writing the letter I put it in his locker and walked to lunch.

When I walked into the cafeteria I walked over to mine and Quackity's usual table. Quackity was already sitting there and asked what took me so long.

"Oh uhh you know teacher wanted to talk to me." I make up that lie much quicker than I wanted to.

"Karl the teacher didn't ask to speak to you we were in the same class. I saw you walk out of the room why are you lying to me?"

"Sorry Quackity I needed something from my locker. I swear that's the truth this time."

"Ok Karl please stop lying to me."

"I will I swear." I lied about that I'd never lie to him again I'm an amazing friend aren't I?

SapNap POV

After lunch I head over to my locker Dream and George following close behind. "I really hope there's no note." In the back of my mind I did want a note I just didn't want one while Dream and George were there. I open my locker and sure enough there's a note. I pick it up and put it my backpack quickly before anyone can notice I grab the rest of my books and tell Dream and George I'll meet them in class.

I head into the bathroom to read the note I open it and it says

Hey SapNap,
I don't really have a nickname

How do I respond? I don't have any other nicknames but truth is I'm not 15 or 16 I'm a year older I had to repeat 10th grade I should be in 11th now. I moved here before school started and schools work differently here so I had to go down a grade and repeat it how do I tell Karl that I'm 17 not 16.

I start writing something out on a paper

Hey Karl
I did have a nickname in mind for you
let me know what you think.
In one of the first few letters you told me your name was Karl Jacobs
Would it be alright with you if I call you Jacobs?
And as for my age I'm 17.
I moved here recently right before school started
Technically I should be in grade 11
The school system works differently here than it does where
I moved from so I had to repeat 10th grade.

Ok I know it's been a long time since I've updated this story I kind of ran out of ideas.
If you have any ideas of questions you want to see them ask each other in the letters could you please comment them? I have like 3 more questions in mind but one of them comes way later in the story and with other 2 I can make maybe 3 more chapters.
