I head to my locker once the bell rings.

It's almost the end of the day.

I start searching for my things for my chemistry class and see a note.

He wrote one back I think getting suddenly excited that he did.

I read the note

Hey SapNap.
If you want we can still write letters.
We don't have to though texting is fine.
And we can talk in the hallways you know.
We don't have to ignore each other.

messy im kind of distracted at the moment
I lost something really important to me
and someone will be mad if they found out.

After I read the note only one thought is left in my mind

He wants to talk to me.

I hear the first warning bell ring I quickly grab all my things and rush to class.

As soon as I sit down the second and final warning bell rings.

"Ok class free period because it's almost the end of the year also it's Friday." Says the teacher.

(We're going to pretend I know the date and that it's the end of the year and a Friday.)

I get out my phone and message Karl.

Me:
Hey I read the note you said you were distracted is everything alright?

Not too long after I get a response.

K💜:
Yeah everything's fine I just lost something really really important to someone and I'm worried about the reaction is all. Thanks for checking in.

Me:
Yeah no problem glad you're doing better now what'd you lose if you don't mind me asking.

K💜:
Oh nothing it's stupid I lost a bracelet.

Me:
That's not stupid it sounds important.
Let me know if you want help looking for it.

K💜:
Thanks you don't have to help look if you want to you can though.
I'll be looking again after school if you want to meet me by my locker.

Me:
I'll be there.

Read 2:18pm

I walk up to Karl's locker and wait for him.

After about 5 minutes he's still not there I decide to text him again.

Me:
Hey I'm at your locker where are you?

K💜:
In the office something happened if you come here I'll explain

I read the message and start walking towards the office

Once I get there I ask the secretary if I can see Karl. She nods and smiles and leads me towards the back of the office.

"Hey Karl you alright?" I ask as I walk up.

I see his eyes are red and puffy like he'd been crying and he's shaking a lot.
