Third person POV
"What's wrong Jasper?" a male voice teased as Jasper practically ran through the park. "Gunna go cry to your mommy? aww, poor little Jasper, such a mommy's boy!" the voice teased, annoyance evident in his voice. Jasper stopped his tracks. he turned around to face the boy who had been following him with his little goons right behind him, ready to back him up in a second. "TAKE THAT BACK GOD DANG IT!" Jasper yelled, his tears of sadness and fear now replaced with those of anger. "Huh? why so sensitive? oh, right! you're an orphan!" Talon said with a grin. The rest of the kids laughing out loud at jaspers expense. "You son of a-" Jasper started through gritted teeth. "Oi! You kid's better stop with that horse play and foul language! The guards will be here in two hours!" An old store owner yelled across the street. "Yeah jasper, you don't want to make a scene. Do you?" Talon asked with a grin that said it all.
Suddenly, Jasper got an idea. "Of course not. Speaking of which, Talon you should probably change into descant clothing. You wouldn't want the guards to think that they actually had to check a homeless person for powers, right?" He said with a smirk. Jasper was referring to talons ripped jeans, dirt-stained shirt, and his tangled brown and blonde hair. Talon's face got furious, but then it simmered down into what was, fear?
Jaspers POV
'Shoot, shoot, shoot. Why would I say that? I know what happens when I say things like that!' "Tch! Whatever. You're lucky I actually want to be on time to see the guards or I would beat you into the ground." Talon threatened, his eyes closed and hands in his pockets. "WOAH MAN, I DON'T THINK SO!" some boy yelled in the back of the group of kids. Some guy with brown hair stepped up to the front, standing right in front of me. "Take that back you little pathetic weasel!" He shouted, gripping the neckline of my shirt. "I prefer wolf. If you're going to call me animal names, I'd prefer one I actually resemble. But hey, if I'm a weasel, then you have to be a rat!" I smirk. 'STOP TALKING GOD DANG IT!' "HOW DARE YOU! I SWARE I'LL BASH YOUR HEAD IN!" He yelled, bringing his right fist up into the air. 'CRAP! NOW YOU'VE DONE IT!' I closed my eyes and waited for the punch to come. But it never did. I peeked my eyes open when I heard gasps. I saw Talon holding the guy's arm back. "Enough. He's not worth it. I've already wasted enough time; you idiots are going to make me late! So quit with the useless stuff and let's go!" he spoke firmly.
The brown-haired boy looked down at me and I smirked. "Tch! you get away with it this time!" He grumbled loudly. When he let go, I fell to the ground. "you're really letting him off that easy?!" a girl yelled. Talon just rolled his eyes. "Maybe he's going soft." Someone murmured. Talon stopped in his tracks and whipped his head around. "Really? Gone soft? ME?!" He yelled. Talon then walked over to them and punched them in the face. "Ohhh.." everyone said. "How's that for soft?" He asked as the guy he punched fell to the floor. He then precedes to look at me. "Well, if you aren't soft teach him a lesson Talon!" that same girl cheered. For a second it looked like he was unsure. He looked at them then back at me. he sighed as he walked over. I jumped up. "NOPE!" I yelled as I dashed away. I ran fast. I wasn't even worried now. Because when I ran, nothing stopped me until I wanted to be stopped "The clock tower.' I think to myself as I blast right past people.
