THE SONG

His piece was next be presented, he was aware of it

His name was called out, in such a glamorous way

Everyone clapped in honor, some smiled sheepishly

He accepted the invite, he walked towards the stage

She watched him prepare to take the mantle

She was elated to see him present something

She got bewitched by the sound of his footsteps

They defined authority and great power

There's was no sign of discomfort as the audience watched him move

They couldn't feel the palpitations of his heart as he walked stealthily, the audience were seated far

His sentiments set him straight as he picked the microphone, laggardly.

She was still standing in her former position

Not moving, As she watched his facial expression

He was joyous enough and she was flattered much

He shewed forth a wonderful smile to all of them

That earned him another round of applause
Then he started his piece, stuttering at first, it was a love song.

There came a light uproar of mocking remarks and chuckles from the audience

They taught he was shy or negligent

Deep inside, he knew what he was doing
He wanted to give them a shock

He started singing again, more gently this time, firm and sweet.

The talks died down eventually, they were in awe to hear his awesome voice.

Silence had taken over now, they all listened with rapt attention

Some cried and crewed, Some flapped their hands in the air

I mean the ladies that fell in love with him at first sight.

Alas! He ended it in a stupendous way, the song was for his dear mother

He got to celebrate her once again, he could never trade her for anyone else

His mother's love paved way for him to always be generous and loving at all times
