THE JOY OF A MOTHER
The atmosphere today was something else, it was one of a kind
The cool breeze that blew was centered around me, that's how I felt
It was kind of soothing, I had not experienced the calmness for a while
I had a great company by my side, my ever loving son
He came through cesarean section, Oh! What a miracle
Sometimes I still feel like I was a weak woman to have gone through that
I gasped, surprised to hear my name being mentioned by my son
My eyes shimmered with light tears, they were kept at bay
I smiled at him as I watch his eyes sparkle
My ears pricked at the sound of his voice
I was excited to hear him say the word ma--ma
With joy, I placed him properly on my laps and I hugged him
He held my hand in his too, ever so tenderly
From this day on, I could never regret having someone like him
I would forever cherish the joy of being a mother.
Anything is easy provided we are determined to make things work
Doing the right things makes life sweet and enjoyable
I'm glad I married the right person too
He has been able to love, build and harness situations for special times.
Love is sweet and overwhelming
Joy stays on, it'd never leave you.
Patience is key and everlasting
Perseverance is deep, it pays to have such
Partnership is an extraordinary culture, it breeds excellent results only with the right people.
