This story takes place many, many years into the future, when humanoid squids, known as Inklings, rose to superiority. These Inklings had a love for both combat with ink and attire. The newly formed Inkopolis, located in Japan, has grown in popularity, and during this time is one the most popular cities to date. The two pop superstars, cousins Callie and Marie, had become the biggest stars ever seen. Lately, however, they have been separated.
That was until Marie realizes how much they've been apart. In Chapter 6 of the Squid Sisters Story by Nintendo, Marie has gone to visit her parents again, and is waiting for her sister to follow. She waits at the train station for Callie the day after she arrived at her home, but Callie never showed up, even after nighttime, Marie decides to cut her trip short and return to Inkopolis to find out about her cousin. Callie never came to be, and in Chapter 7 of the story, Marie finds the city buzzing with news. She finds out that the Great Zapfish that powers Inkopolis had gone missing. She feared that the villain of the story was once again at his business. She knew that she could only find someone from off the streets to help her out. She remembers that Callie once told her that there was a new part of town in which Inklings were hanging out and battling for turf. She knew that that was the place to find help - the new place of squid kid culture, Inkopolis Square.
That is where my story begins...
