You walked through the rainy streets of the city, careful you wouldn't slip in your high heeled boots. Around you the trees were lightly bending loosing their usual straight form. The sky was crying, the clouds emptied their pressure. You loved rain but this was even a bit too much for you nonetheless you kept walking ,occasionally looking to the right or left to see a shop or park you used to visit back then when you still lived here. You barely came back to your old hometown, too big the pain you're feeling every single time knowing you're in the same city with h e r.
Knowing you could pass her any time. Knowing your eyes would lock and you wouldn't be able to stand the heart wrenching pressure in your chest and just burst out into tears.
Today you were brave though. You came back because one of your beloved family members died, your uncle Max. He was one of those funny guys. One of the few good men. Unlike today the day he died was a warm and sunny day fitting his personality perfectly. Uncle Max went to bed happily the day before and fell into his forever slumber with a smile on his face.
You remember his incredibly loud personality so very much different than your own or in fact any of your family members. He was the life of the party, he was the sunshine and he will stay that forever.Uncle Max was the first one you outed yourself to. Well, or more likely he caught you, with her, kissing under the big beech in the park. You glanced over her shoulder and got immediately caught by him standing there. He just nodded and gave you t h a t smile and you knew it was okay. From that day on you never talked with him about your sexuality anymore. You loved women, point, blank, period.
You continued walking and after about five minutes you walked by said park. There are at least three other parks in this area but your feet had to bring you to this goddamn thing. If the rain wouldn't pour all over your already clam hair and glassy eyes you would be able to see the beech. You exactly knew the location you would even say you would be able to navigate it blindfolded and with noise canceling headphones. Your heart would guide you straight to it. Ally Mayfair - Richards and you used to visit this exact park at least once every week. For most people that would become a boring ritual. They would think you already saw everything and it would become a dull routine but it was never dull with Ally. There were always new things.Dull and Ally are definitely two words which don't fit together.
You first met the brown eyed beauty in her restaurant after your family had asked Ally for catering for one of the family events.
Her shining eyes and bright smile immediately took you in and you couldn't stop looking at her the entire evening, neither could she.As the evening came to an end and the mood got a little bit loose, thanks to the tequila shots, your beautiful caterer and you ended up at the small bar isle drinking a glass of wine. Not just was Ally one of the most beautiful women you ever saw, she also had a view on the world that you simply admired. You stayed behind when your parents left the party and tried to soak in every moment with the mesmerizing woman in front of you for god knows when you will get the chance again.
You stayed some more hours and Ally insisted on sharing a taxi with you, making sure you're safely at home. After that evening you occasionally went to Ally's restaurant to drink a coffee and eat a piece of her self made apple pie.
When she found time she would sit with you and talk and the connection you both felt grew stronger and stronger.
When she finally asked you out on a date your excitement went through the roof. The both of you never made a big thing around your age difference but decided to enjoy the time you can spent with each other. One date turned into five. One sleep over turned into the final decision. And two years of relationship turned into a solid base to live together. Since Ally had a small house you just moved in with her and adjusted some things to your liking.
You loved living with Ally. Every day was a joy, every day brought something new, everyday felt like the first warm rays of sunshine on your bare skin after a long and cold winter.
