"This is it? It's kind of small" Lyric observed as she entered the apartment first dropping her bag by the couch as she continued to turn her nose up at the decor.

"Stop acting like you're better than everybody when you know our place was twice as small as this and has Roaches sometimes" Eris said holding the door open for Kelly and her new brother.

She hadn't had much time to process what happened to day but maybe it was for the best.

She was actively relying on her imagination to create a scenario that was easier to stomach, one where her mother was simply recovering in the hospital for a few days after an emergency c- section.

She was very much alive and probably waiting on an update from Kelly on how they were acting while she kept them for her.

"This bag is heavy"Trey complained as he trudged through the door lugging the diaper bag in one hand and a bag of clothes kelly swooped by their house to get so they'd have something to wear for the next few days.

"I told you to let me carry it, you're weak as water"Eris said snatching a bag from him.

"Even I could carry it" Faith said backing up her sister as Kelly passed by all of them to set the car seat down on her glass coffee table praying she it didn't tip over.

Her apartment was far from kid friendly which is why she normally watched Jaden at Bey's apartment.

She never had to worry about her crisp white pillows or chair covers getting dirtied up by little hands until now and internally she was panicking

She never had to worry about her crisp white pillows or chair covers getting dirtied up by little hands until now and internally she was panicking.

"You got any food?"Trey asked holding her refrigerator door open.

"Almond milk? I thought only white people drank this shit"he said closing the fridge so he could look through her cabinets until he found her snack stash.

"Can I have these chips?" He asked holding the bag of Blue Ranch Doritos in the air.

Kelly , who was struggling with unbuckling Noah's car seat with her acrylic nails on simply mumbled a "Mhmm"and went back to working sighing in relief when the buckles finally released the infant.
