Kayla woke up to another note slipped under her bedroom door, but she was surprised that Ivar had actually ridden out to Dancing Lawn just to give it to her. If Dagvid was still his horse, she would not have found the note until late in the evening.

"Jeg elsker dig, איך האב דיר ליב, Tá grá agam duit, I Love You."

She put the note in a small chest with the other note, knowing more would be coming. Her dress for the day was the dress she wore at Aslan's camp at the stone table. She knew she would never outgrow it. When she got downstairs to the kitchen, a certain someone was waiting for her with her breakfast ready.

"Ivar!"

"I figured I should start learning how to make coffee just the way you like it."

"Myself and Mrs. Beaver are the only ones in this world who could ever get it right. In the other world, it was Momma, Daddy, and Bobies."

"And now it's my turn."

"I am so glad the Telmarines originated from the Mediterranean, 'cause this means they did bring coffee beans with them."

Ivar was able to combine powdered milk with vanilla extract, and he mixed that with sugar. He poured the mixture into her coffee along with a shot of cream liqueur.

"I know it's not Bailey's, but-."

"I'll settle for the Narnian version."

Kayla chugged her coffee, which Ivar half expected.

"What are your plans for today, Kayla?"

"Visit the people surrounding Dancing Lawn. Take in all of His glory in every tree, every rock, every stream, every flower. It is Sunday. What I wouldn't give to hear a sermon right now, but I suppose I'll just stick with the Sermon on the Mount."

"Mind if I join you?"

"I don't think there's any stopping you at this point."

After their breakfast, they got on their horses and rode into the woods. Kayla invited Adila to join them, and she accepted. They made it all the way to the valley where the Beaver's dam once was, and where the White Witch's castle was still standing.

"Where are we?"

"This place, Adila, was once the residence of Jadis the White Witch, who was at one point my family's greatest enemy."

They stepped off of their horses and walked through the castle gates.

"Only three members of our family have been in here before us. Edmund, when he ran here, and Susan and Lucy were with Aslan when Aslan brought the stone statues to life."

"Look, the fountain is still flowing."

"How old is this castle?"

"Centuries old, Adila. It was once a place of evil, but I want to turn it into something good."

"Like what?"

"I don't know, I'll think of something."

The castle was not as ruined as Cair Paravel. They walked up the stairs that led to what once was Jadis' throne room. The throne was still standing, and Kayla sat down on it.

"What are you doing, Kayla?"

"Resting after a long ride, Ivar."

"In Jadis' throne, no less. She killed you once before, remember?"
