Chapter 18: Dreams

Y/n fell asleep pretty easily that night. She was burnt out from everything that happened and was happy to curl up in her bed and get some well-deserved shut-eye.

"Where ... they?"

"no.... villians"

"Parents..... the press"

"find them...... save them"

There were fragments of sentences and differing voices all around Y/N. She could no longer tell if she was sleeping, lucid dreaming, or what was happening. She couldn't open her eyes and all she heard were these voices. Some were masculine, some feminine, some were yelling and others were calmer. But all these voices sounded similar, but her half-asleep mind could not think of where they were from.

She tried opening her eyes but it seemed to be impossible, so she tried to just listen for any idea of what was going on.

"rescue..... tell others"

"lead.... source"

"students"

All these words and Y/n was starting to worry about what was going on. She couldn't see anything, and she couldn't think properly. All she knew was that she wanted to wake up already.

She felt her breathing getting heavier and she wanted to scream for help, but her mouth and body wouldn't move on her command.

She started to hyperventilate and believed she was having a panic. Trying to calm herself down she tried to take deep even breaths and relax.

'It's just a dream. You're just lucid dreaming and everything is going to be okay.'

She repeated that to herself over and over again until her breathing went down, and she could focus once more. The voices persisted but now they were getting louder as if the people speaking were getting closer to her and she could hear more of the sentences.

"All for One is captured we.... find them"

"All heroes... looking"

"... All Might... can't"

With those last few sentences, Y/n was finally able to start to piece together who and what she was hearing. She was finally able to identify the voices that sounded so familiar. They were the teachers at UA including All Might and Aizawa. So either Y/n had a very active imagination or she was able to hear their conversation from a different universe.

She could hear the worry in their voices and the stress they must have been under. She wondered if the same amount of time has passed in their world as it had in hers. Because if that was true, then it had been weeks since the six were missing.

Y/n once again tried to open her eyes and speak. She still couldn't get anything to respond to her mind. Her eyes and mouth seemed to be super-glued shut and her limbs and body felt like they were strapped to her bed.

This kept going for what felt like forever until the voices finally started to fade again. This just pushed Y/n to try harder to move, speak, or do something to try and help the heroes know that the six teens were safe and out of harm's way.

Sadly, it didn't work, the voices inevitably stopped but Y/n didn't she continued to scream after them with all she had.

"Y/n"

"Y/n"

"Y/N!"

She was startled awake by shaking and screaming. She immediately sat upright in bed and the first thing she saw was the six UA students around her looking scared and worried. Momo seemed to be the one who shook her awake and to no surprise, Bakugo was the one shouting her name the loudest.

Momo sat by her side on the bed, attempting to comfort her from what she assumed was a nightmare

"Are you alright, you've been screaming in your sleep for a while now. It startled us all awake." Momo said with worry in her eyes. Y/n took a few more seconds to catch her breath and take in everything around her.

"Um, I don't know how to say this, but I think I heard a conversation from your world."

All of the teachers were gathered at the school to try and make a plan to find the missing UA students. It has been two days since the fight and although morale was high after defeating All-for-One, All-might was now out of commission and they had six groups of parents breathing down their necks.

"They didn't seem to disappear with the League of Villains. The LOV went through a warp gate, the students seemed find until a flash of light and then they were gone." All-Might said confused, he was worried about all the students, but especially Midoriya. He could barely control his powers and now he vanished when he is out of commission.

"We have checked everywhere in the surrounding area including in the rubble. There were no signs of them anywhere. Even if the LOV somehow got their hands on them, we would have heard from them with negotiations by now," Aizawa shared. These were his students, and practically no one wanted to find them more than he did.

"Does anyone have any ideas for another way to track them down? I even told my listeners to call in with any information," exclaimed Present Mic.

"I think I know just the person to call," Nezu stated cheerily, completely opposite of the tone in the room.

They all were silent, and Y/n realized this is a conversation better had in the kitchen with some coffee, and not with everyone gathered around her bed. She led the way into the kitchen while everyone followed like brain-dead zombies. She started to expand on what she said while grabbing a mug and making her first of many coffees.

"I heard voices when I was asleep. I thought I was just having a really weird dream because I could only hear fragments, but in the end, I could make out the voices of what sounded like All-Might and Aizawa talking. They said they captured All-for-One but that all the heroes were out looking for you guys."

She took a seat at the counter and stared into her coffee mug. 'What does it mean that I can hear them? How much time has passed in their world since they got here?'

"They captured All-for-One? That means we won the fight!" Kirishima exclaimed. The others, while also happy at this news, were more focused on the fact that she could hear conversations from back home.

"So now what?" Midoriya asked. Hearing that everyone was looking for them made him happy and hopeful, but how would the heroes ever find them in another world?

I'm not dead!!!!

I was originally gonna just leave this unfinished, but my friend recently told me to continue writing since people really liked this story, so you can all thank her. Although, I make no promises in how far this story will go.
