Sure enough, after stumbling downstairs with Chase, there was a crowd of boys. I couldn't pick out Niall just by glancing by but right now that wasn't my biggest concern. Chase led me into the kitchen and handed me a tray with snacks and drinks on it. This should've been the moment when I stuff all this in his face and laugh but it was his birthday.

He shoved me into the sea of people and I immediately panicked. There were more people than just the boys he mentioned. I shuffled past boys until Colby pulled me out into a clearer area. "Thanks." I laughed. But I realized my voice was muffled by the loud pounding music. Colby was really tall compared to me and Chase. Colby nodded then got swept into the crowd again.

After about 20 minutes of passing out things, I bumped into someone. My foot stepping on theirs and I whipped around to apologize. But it was Niall. I was face to face with Niall. I blinked a few times, being speechless and he laughed. "Sorry I didn't see you." he yelled. Which to me sounded like a whisper above all this music.

I nodded and smiled. Then he grabbed a water off the tray. "Hey you're Chase's twin right? E-El-"
"Elle." I finished. Niall nodded. His blond hair fixed perfectly and blue eyes shining through the darkness of the party. But it didn't last. For he got swept off too.

I didn't bother chasing after him, after all I had been doing that for quite some time. I just moved on, tossing stuff at people. I sneaked into the kitchen to refill and felt a blast of relief come over me. There were no people inside the trapped kitchen. I set the tray on the island and shrunk down to the floor.

The cold tiles felt good to my bare feet. Just a few minutes later, the door swung open. "I'm sorry Chase, I just have a headache." I moaned. But when my eyes opened, it was not Chase. But Niall. I became breathless. "Uh...sorry I thought you were um-"
"Chase? Yeah, it's fine." he finished. I nodded slowly then gripped onto the countertop to pull myself up.

The kitchen light was dim but not blacked out, and my head felt like someone was drilling into the side of it. "I never told you but I'm Niall." he grinned.
Oh trust me, I knew already. "Right." I mumbled. Then a huge wave of silence washed over us. It felt like I was underwater but couldn't come up for air.

I looked up at him and he quickly looked away. He was staring at me. Why? What if he saw the pictures...what if he's trying to figure out what possessed me to do that. That's why he's staring, there's no better explanation. "I'm guessing you came in here for a drink?" I suggested.
