HAWKINS WAS AS BORING A TOWN AS THEY CAME. Everyone in the small town lived mundane lives, whether that be going to school each day or going to work. No matter what day it was, no one ever worried about anything strange happening in Hawkins.
THAT IS, UNTIL NOVEMBER 1983, when Will Byers goes missing. No one knew what to think, it was a shock to the town. Had he run away? Did he get lost in the woods? The rumors spread like crazy, but no one knew the truth.
SUDDENLY THE WORLD OF HAWKINS IS TURNED UPSIDE DOWN, and no one knows what to do. The whole town seems uneasy, and their world continues to fall apart as more people go missing and die, with each year bringing more horrors than the one before.
THE TEENS OF HAWKINS HAVE SEEN ENOUGH. Maggie Brooks and Alice Carter want things to go back to normal. They just want everyone to stay safe now, but unfortunately that's impossible.

— So this series will follow three OCs, Margaret "Maggie" Brooks, Alice Carter and Rosemary "Rose" Harris. Their stories will begin in seasons 1, 2 and 3 respectively, and will continue throughout the duration of the show.
— Maggie's love interest is Steve, Alice's love interest is Robin and Rose's is Eddie.
— Maggie is a lot like what you requested, as she is living with her grandparents, father and younger brother. Her grandparents own the local jeweler, and are a bit wealthier.
— Alice is Dustin's babysitter in her free time, and is the reason she and Maggie get dragged into the shenanigans with the kids, and I'll reveal the more specific details privately.
— Rose does not appear in the story much before season three, for reasons that will again, be explained privately.
