It was a regular morning, and I was honestly dreading school. Everyone hated me! But when my teacher announced that there was going to be two new girls in our class, I was so excited. Finally, some people who don't know me, and don't hate me! I could finally make some friends. When they walked in the teachers made them introduce themselves. The first girl was named Emily. She had brown tangled hair, glasses, a wolf ear headband, emoji leggings, and the best part... A galaxy BTS hoodie!! She was perfect. The second girls name was Joe. She had long black hair, and normal boring clothes. I guess you could say she was your average 'Joe' 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Anyways...
During lunch time, I decided to approach one of them and try to become friends with them. I went to Joe first. When I first saw her, she was at the front of the class, and I was at the way back. Seeing her up close... it was magical. At first, I thought she was Korean, so I spoke Korean to her. "Annyeonghaseyo, I'm Oli! I see that you're Korean, I am too!!!" "What..." She replied. Oh noes. I don't think she's Korean!!! I just smiled at her. "I'm not korean, I'm from the Philippines." The Philippines?? What even is that! I knew I had to learn whatever this 'Philippines' was so I could impress her, and maybe become friends. But first, I had to talk to Emily. I approached her and said, "Hello, I'm Oli! I see you like BTS, want to be friends?!" And of course, she said yes!! My first friend! We gave each other our numbers and planned to hang out at the mall after school tomorrow.
When I got home, I went straight to TikTok to learn what 'Philippines' 🤨 was. I learned that the language was Tagalog, and I learned a few romantic phrases to impress her.

Immediately after I got off the bus, I made my way to Joe. I saw her back talking to a few people from far away. "Magadangdang, puta!!" I said to her. She turned around and gave me a blank stare. I gave her a smile! 😁 She and her friends walked away. Whatever. At least I have Emily.
We grew very close, and I told her all my struggles about being transracial. She told me I shouldn't let them bully me, and I realized she was right. I wasn't going to put up with this.
